I don't know enough about this lad to pass judgement on the reported 8m fee. But usually if its a player within the league who's moving for decent money they tend to have a bigger reputation.

My worry with the Zätterström move appearing to be looming that our defence (assuming JLT goes) is going to be very young and will be begging for some experience to guide them when the times get tough.

Not sure how much Doyle would cost, but if £7-8m gets us Bobby Thomas, that's probably a few million cheaper than what it might cost anyone to sign Hughes this summer.

Hull have him under a good contract (signed him last summer) and aren't really under any pressure to sell him, and they tend to get good money for their players.

Would like to test waters of loan to buy, or some sort of deal to get him cheaper, as we seen man city are open to all types (Trafford/Bryan etc).

I do feel we need 2 chamionship experienced CBs for bindon to accompany and rotate with.
