Having watched on the new Sky channel last night, it was obviously an improvement on the old "Red Button" option with replays available, unfortunately the Director's obsession with them resulted in significant live play being missed (eg keeper's throw to Hamer)
Put me in mind of early ITV football coverage !
By and large this practice has been eradicated by main channel Sky Football coverage and needs to be sorted.

I think the only real improvement was the replays.
The sound quality was still dreadful from both commentary and the crowd. It was like watching in on a dodgy stream.

Too often they 'gamble' by cutting from live play to show a replay. Normally it's a replay of someting uninteresting like a foul. Sometimes, like last night, they get caught out.

As Brian Clough said, it only takes a second to score a goal.

Yeah sound isn't as good and muffled especially crowd.

Can't really blame them from not expecting their keeper to chuck it straight to Gus!

Pretty sure at kick off their line up had Arblaster as a cb with burrows 🤣

Was anyone able to watch last night's game in the pub? Asked common room before they game if they were showing it and they said they didn't have that channel yet but we're looking to get it sorted next week.

ball at crookes had the different games as some derby fans were in started about 7:55

Anyone who has subscribed to SUTV international, next Saturdays game has been selected for international coverage so you will need to find a "dark" country.

I've not read this thread, because Sky Sports is fucking shit. But I do have a question, is League 2 not part of the 3pm blackout? Cos all the league 2 games were a 3pm KO and were all on the sky. Probably answered elsewhere, apologies for that.

It was covered on another thread. The FA request the blackout off uefa under rule 48. It doesn't start until next Saturday.

It doesn't, it's just an app

Yeah cheers mate, think I've got the gist of how it all works now 👍

I actually stomped up for a now tv 24 hr pass yesterday just to check it out - watched our game last night no probs and the dipped in and out of quite a few of today's games. It did seem to stutter a bit this afternoon while I was flicking between trying to enjoy Barrow vs Crewe,Mk Dons Bradford and Leeds v Wigan RL. Could have been my broadband but not convinced.

Yes watched it in our local guy switched channel over.

That makes no sense whatsoever!
If you subscribe to SUTV you can only get international coverage (it doesn't work in the UK for the TV coverage just the radio coverage). For tomorrows game, if you log from a country where there is an EFL TV Deal (such as US where is is with CBS/Paramount) then you wont get the signal. If, however, you are in a "dark" country (that is where there isn't a tv deal) then you can watch it.

Thanks again, looks like we’re not even on Radio Sheffield who’ve got Donny and Dingles.

Use a VPN and select a country like Estonia and you should get it. Here's a list of the unsold countries, where SUTV should show:

This may be of interest to some. I got a Now TV monthly pass for £34.99 a month mid October as we've been on Sky 12 times since then (they also had a £26.99 a month offer but you had to commit 6 months so I didn't bother with that).

As planned after tonight's game I went to cancel it and it came up with a "special offer" - £20 a month for 6 months and I can cancel any time , so I took it (it goes back to £34.99 after 6 months but that will be after the season ends so I'll cancel again before that).

This is Sky Sports basically but internet based rather than TV, the quality has been excellent and I've watched loads of games no problems including all the "red button" as it used to be called (Sky Sports + now) without the shenanigans of not being able to find games that you sometimes get on Sky Go.

Been a crazy run of our games on sky think it's out of 15 games 12 are on tv in this current run
