Now, just remind me again please why we sold the best teenager I have ever seen in second tier after 5 games when clappers on here said we were a well run club, and who said quite recently thank god we weren't like Watford who came down with us, the young, talented, free flowing side who now can't stop scoring and winning. Just remind me why McCabe sold that property in Glasgow and just remind why it seems to me that not a single penny of the Tevez wedge has been spent on players (security for Santander loan) and why there is still per the accounts a huge gap in our finances over the next few years? All perfectly above board in terms of group finances (and have never said otherwise) but I am now 100% convinced that our squad is as weak as this now because of these property deals.
People say he's a property genius - well I suppose credit for stuffing the Aussies a few months before the credit crunch and for a while the purse strings were open at BDTBL. I also totally accept McCabe's argument that banks recognised we had assets and wanted loans repaying whereas other clubs get away with murder and avoid creditors. He has alot of plus points but these results are horrendous - not surprising really but shocking in terms of the tie in with the football club imo.
Had my mind on other things recently but what I will say is that the appointment of Batho has to be total and utter joke. Nowt against him but haven't we got anyone already at the club who can order a few more pies and see the writing on the wall that unless season ticket prices are slashed, 15k will be a reasonable crowd next term.
PS - Adams is not long ball - I totally agree Steel. So far I've seen some thuggish, reckless tackling from Cresswell, utter boredom and ineptitude in first half and a rally in last ten when Bartley goes up front and we pump it long. So we only play long ball for about 1/9th of the time.
