Whatever your views on the Prince and Kev, you always knew they were around and didn't leave supporters in the dark.
The new owners seem almost unable to communicate with the fans.
Now i'm no fan of Wrexham or Brum but at least their owners keep in the faces of their supporters and tell them of their plans and expectations, unlike our guys who say nothing.
Why all the silence. Yes they attend some games but that's all we get.
Time to speak up and give us a clue as to our future.

Because it’s coming to pass that they have no cash, so they can’t make a song and dance about ‘strategy’ or future, because that would be putting their head above the parapet to be shot down if they started spouted we’re going to do this and do that, as they have no money to make these promises. Easiest thing to do is just lay low and hope this data driven recruitment work. In reality we need a mix of both data and cold hard championship experience and quality to compete. It seems that the latter isn’t going to happen, seems like they’re happy to watch their investment shrink, and at the same time our standing as promotion hopefuls sink with it!

Simple.

Still time for this to change or for this POV to be wrong, but it’s not looking l good at the moment.

I don't know both fucked off for long periods of time McCabe trying to manage the club half the time from Belgium and PA from the US and Saudi.

I agree there should be a level of communication but in my experience what many fans mean when they say they want communication from the owners, is that they'll only be satisfied if they come out and say how ambitious they are and how much they're willing to spend.

Who gives a fuck if they’re constantly posting shit on social media or doing interviews every other week. That’s just PR bollocks as far as I’m concerned, the majority of football club owners can come across great in interviews.

Actions speak louder than words! I don’t need someone to tell me what they’re going to do, I need them to just get on with doing it.

True but there is a flaw in publicly stating a willing to spend. It does alert agents and clubs to that fact, so you do have to be tactful.

Fuck me, if your exemplar for communication is the Prince then I think you're beyond hope!

Yes, the communication from the new owners is woeful. They desperately need a DoF or CEO to regularly communicate with fans because they need to explain their vision in language that isn't a few buzzwords. Not doing so just leads fans to assume the worst from them.

Not sure how thick you have to be to invest £100 million in a sports team on another continent and then just ignore it. It's bad business sense and defies logic.

Exactly.

Don't get me wrong once you spend a fair bit then it's clear you've got some dough and everyone knows we've had parachute payments.

But no sensible owner is going to crow about how they're going to spend.

Communication and the Prince are not two words that go together unless I am missing something. His waste of space chairman Yusuf Giansiracusa gave that famous presser where he stated he knew nothing about football and wasn't interested. Him and the board then disappeared up their own arse. We then had Princy hiding behind social media releasing little tit bits very via his pals or "lap dog" Bettis. He turned up to Bramall Lane for the good times and remained exiled in the US or Saudi when things turned to shit. His daughter even had to do a pathetic farewell message after he had sold the club. Additionally throughout his "reign" the club didn't have a suitable, modern thinking structure to deal with footballing matters. At the moment it still doesn't have one hence the fact we have rely on "one trick pony" Bettis. Ideal opportunity when Selles came in to engage an experienced Director of Football and restructure. I say once again Bettis is anti Director of Football and therefore still lives in Jurassic Park. A total different scenario is Birmingham City from a vision, planning, commitment and communication situation. Wagner and Brady have made mistakes, like employing muppet Rooney which resulted in relegation to League One, but they didn't languish there for 6 years, straight back up with a young modern coach Chris Davies with a similar ethos and footballing philosophy as Ruben Selles and a modern footballing structure including a Director of Football. Their aim is the Premier League and to stay there but they are doing something throughout their club to achieve that aim and communicating that to the fan base very often face to face. A good watch on Amazon Prime Video is "Built in Birmingham" "Brady and the Blues".

Would you be writing this if we had won yesterday? Turn it in pal

I think like a lot on here are angry that we lost Souter LAST year and since then have sold Anel and Vinnie so, 3 defensive members of the team and replaced with a young loan player in Bindon making it obvious that we need good experienced to fill the empty positions and at the moment there doesn't appear to be any urgency at all

It doesn’t have to be much. Appear once at the start of the season, once at the end, tell us what the fuck is going on.

The lack of nonsense is refreshing but they’ve put out a generic statement when we lost the play off, another after bringing Selles in and they basically said the target is to get up, Selles is now saying it’s a rebuild and I’m guessing next it’ll be we want to stay up…

They don’t actually speak, just put out these statements which ChatGPT could write to say almost nothing, with no measurables and no real commitment.

We get snippets of safe standing coming soon, some paint on the stands and fan zone open, but what’s the grand plan? How we going to believe that it’ll happen when we don’t see their commitment at all.

McCabe and the Prince tried to promise things, but often under delivered, these guys haven’t even got close.

Couldn't agree more Davalon. Remember McCabe back in 2006 after promotion to the PL saying he wanted the blades playing European Football in 5 years. In 5 years we were back in league one. Talk is cheap. Better to say nothing that promise the earth and deliver nothing. However, any owner of this club with any vested interest in the forward momentum of this club, will not have been pleased as to what transpired yesterday. Utter garbage and it needs sorting asap.

There’s a happy medium when it comes to communication. McCabe liked the sound of his own voice too much & The Prince always wanted to justify himself.

The radio silence we’re getting is odd though & it’s causing us fans to be even more frustrated when we’re seeing players sales & no incomings.
