Grandparents, Parents and elder brother all born in Sheffield. Dad got a job in Exeter and that's where i was born. Then on to Nottingham, Lake District and finally the Isle of Man. Dad was a Blade so that was that.

Not doing too well with my boys though. They are more interested in Pokemon and Minecraft.

Pokémon and Minecraft, they have the Bloody TT on the door step, I would have loved that as a kid!

I was born in Chesterfield. My parents were both Man U fans and the rest of my junior school was divided up between Leeds, Liverpool and Man U fans.
Chesterfield was never really an option with anyone I knew.......lol
I loved watching the Blades on Yorkshire TV and fell in love with them and have had a season ticket every season bar 1 from age 14 to 50 and counting. (14 being the age i was allowed by my parents to travel by train on my own.)
My Piggy uncle once tried to convert me to the darkside and has been derided ever since.

Very true, although you could go celebrity spotting as a few tax dodgers live on the rock that would though still leave 49.5 weeks to fill..... Minecraft and pokemon it is then
Tax dodgers indeed. I assumed IOM was like the City of London given the number of companies that are based there.

I'm York born, bred and buttered. My dad liked whoever was winning at the time (Liverpool in the 80s, Man U in the 90s) and took me to the odd York game, but didn't really go to football matches. I liked Spurs for a bit based of teams you could watch on TV, and went to Hillsborough once to watch Wednesday v Spurs, but didn't like it, then I took a liking to this mysterious other Sheffield team you rarely heard of who kept getting promoted from the lower divisions and had a cool kit with thin stripes. First game at the Lane was the first one after we were relegated from the Premier League the first time. Went to Hallam Uni, but was a Blade long before that.

I was born in Peterborough (for my sins) as my old man was based at RAF Wittering. Despite travelling back up to Sheffield most weekends with the hope that I'd make an arrival as a Northerner, I resisted, and eventually said 'hello' to the world in Peterborough. I believe that we only lived there for a further eight or nine months before returning to Sheffield permanently. To this day I am constantly reminded that I'm not a true Yorkshireman and that I'm a Southerner and it doesn't half piss me off! I couldn't give a shit about Peterborough United to be honest.

Like myself, my old man is a huge Blade and wouldn't entertain the idea of me supporting anybody else - thank f*ck.

UTB

Me, my two brothers and my old man are all born in Boston Lincolnshire. He used to matey about with a chap who was from Sheffield and they used to go together to united matches whenever my dad visited him. As a kid I was a Liverpool fan because of Michael Owen.

My old man took me to my first game with my two brothers in the cup against city when we scored because of the balloon. Hooked ever since and will be a blade for life; can't thank my old man and his mate enough for that. Glad I'm not an armchair supporter like half the lads round my way, typical so called United, Chelsea and Liverpool fans. UTB.

Born and raised in Chesterfield, moved to Leeds for Uni at 18 and have stayed here since after graduating and finding full-time employment in the City.

Come from a family of Blades though with parents from Dronfield. Season ticket holder from being 12 years old.

It was my Great Granddad who started the trend in the family. He only passed away a couple of years ago at 101 and was always telling his own stories about following United as well as asking about how we were doing in the present.

Born in Bromsgrove, lived there, lived in Northampton and Chesterfield before moving to Sheffield. being under 10 in Chesterfield I "followed" man u as well as Blades.

Then came a Blades v Man utd game. Got taken to the game 26th Feb 1991. promised who ever wins I'll support.

Blades win 2-1 the rest is history.

Born in London, Dad born in Dublin. He was a Blade all his life and I have been too. How odd is that?

Born in Leeds, Dad's a Blade & I somehow ended up with the name of the current Radio Sheffield Blades summariser...... who played for us in the 80's........ around the the time I was born...... You may even be reading this dad, I still congratulate you on this.

I don't remember anyone playing for us in the 1980's called Tizertrance!!

Your Dad married your Uncle?

Wow!

I'll bet that was unusual in the '50s

LOL My dad didn't marry my uncle but he did "give away" his sister to the man who became my uncle. The down side of that day was that I eventually had two S6 disciples as my cousins. Certainly not pigs, although they are black sheep of the family :)

Born and raised at Yorkshire Bridge near Bamford in the Hope Valley. My Grandad used to watch both Sheffield clubs, my Dad was from Bridlington and supported Hull City. I was always a Blade as a young lad thanks to a friend who I played football with on the grass outside our homes. My dad took me to my first game at the Lane in 1975, he became a Blade but no longer goes. I've been going ever since, season ticket since the mid 80's, mum is a Blade too, and my sister and niece both of whom live in Tamworth, my sister's a season ticket holder as well.

Born in Worcestershire, Grandad & dad born in Sheffield both Blades, Son in Devon a Blade and Daughter currently in Sydney a Blade.
Dont get up to Bramall Lane much these days, prefer away games especially new grounds and often meet up with Blades from Southampton,Bridgend,Gerrards Cross and others including another Worcestershire Blade.
First game 1970/71 H Watford winning promotion !

I was unfortunately born and went to school in Barnsley. At the tender age of about 10 I use to go to Oakwell with a lad in my street who's mum was the tea lady for the players and staff on match days. All I remember was spending the game running around the empty terraces with very little interest on what was happening on the pitch as I just remember it being a completely soulless place. My parents who were big Blades (but hardly ever attended due to their commitment to their retail shops) promised to take me to Bramall Lane one day which they did when I was about 11. It was a night game and I remember my first sight as we approached the ground from the back of the Kop. Climbing the steps at the back of the Kop I can remember my very first sight of the pitch under floodlights and the sound and atmosphere of the crowd that greeted me will remain with me for the rest of my life.
Now at the age of 65 I've witnessed the highs (very few) and lows (quite a few), but SU is a big part of my life and always will be. living here in the south for over 40 years I get to as many games as I can and will be up for the Swindon game next week.
Sadly my parents have passed away over recent years, but I'll pass the supporters baton onto my grandkids. I will always be thankful for my family who have always been Blades; my grandad who himself was born in 1889 starting it all off.
FOR EVER A BLADE.
