Barnsley (against us, I believe) and Preston have an attendance high just above our lowest - by less than 600 though - as well as the Coventry City first game back at the RICOH.

In other words, 23 of the 26 highest crowds in League 1 this season were at Bramall Lane and 24 of them featured Sheffield United.

Our attendances and support are nothing short of ridiculous for what is served up in front of us. An average of 19,805 for the utter tripe we've had to endure at times? The team doesn't deserve what it gets and I hope the board realise this when they plan for next season - likely, in my opinion, in this godforesaken division once more.

26k today for a relatively meaningless game in the rain is nuts. If we had a season like Brizzle's can you imagine the atmosphere?

Official capacity is 32,702.
Today's attendance 26,078.
Could anybody see 6,500 empty seats today?

Average home attendance beaten by only 8 Championship teams.
Excellent effort - deserved to watch better football!

Other thing about this is that most Championship sides bring a bigger away support so it's actually phenomenal support which could have beaten some of the 8 Championship clubs if only the numbers of home supporters were taken into account

Excellent figures especially considering that we have had no significant special offers such as the South Barnsley day out for a tenner days.

I've seen some sites which strip out the numbers. Will look properly when I can be arsed ;-)

I wonder where some of you guys sit. The people on here who say our support is bad cannot sit on the South Stand, as you would stick out like a sore thumb, cheering and whooping for 90 minutes. Come on, where do you brilliant supporters sit and what do you sing for 90 minutes.

Our attendance yesterday was the 4th highest outside the Prem, and was higher than one game in the Prem (Swansea).

ANother massive round of applause for dedicated fans let's keep it up for the playoffs.
