Well as I said good signing if they are buying him in his purple patch. If it gets them promoted then who cares what he does after this season - I don't think the tuna man will care with the mega millions that will follow. Besides, they are rich enough to take gambles :(

I wish we had him back here and on the wing again!

But that isn't likely. The pigs aren't the only club in the championship with money or the only ones who'll strengthen.
I'm not saying it's impossible, it's football but it isn't probable.

They were linked with a lot of good players they didnt get the last time tgey had a season ticket drive

Looking at Nick Blackman's career, its littered with moves where he would have been better off staying where he was. He left Maccesfield at 19 to join then premier league Blackburn and then didn't get any regular football until he joined us permanently at 22. Then having done well with us, he joins then premier league Reading and then stagnates for two seasons, until finally this season he starts regularly for reading, now at the age of 26. Either him or his agent wants a slap for me, and he has underachieved, chasing money or higher league football when not ready. He's a decent player that said and I was miffed at him leaving, but he isn't an out an out forward from my memory, more of a second forward.

to be fair there far too many in the same spiral
Harry Maguires another we had thats been treading water
big squads mean reasonably talented players are starved of game time
its a real shame for some

I wouldn't say 18 appearances so far this season for Hull City was "treading water" with over half of those being in the League.

Was bought as potential, Stevie Wonder can see that. Was never going to be a regular figure in their first team plans in the PL. [3 apps]
How many appearances did he make for Wigan Athletic on loan? [16 apps / Championship]

I'll be told next that we should have kept him or he should've stayed to further his career.

Many other players who have left that have been "treading water" but Harry Maguire isn't one.

Maguire stayed for a few seasons though, although maybe he would have left if the opportunity arose! Blackman was only with us for half a season but there's no loyalty these days in football and maybe Reading through money at him he couldn't refuse. I don't recall him saying he was sorry to go like some of our players have like David Holdsworth, but he got what the club was all about.

disproves the theory owls never covet any of our players , dont it

I trust theres a sell on clause, BE NICE IF THEY INDIRECTLY FUND US
Truly Pathetic if anyone off porktalk is reading this it will be all over that site like some kind of shitrash and youve made us all like right dickheads

When Blackman left we were near the top but were kind of limping along with one goal victories, were going through a series of budget cuts and 'might' have got in the championship the following season. Reading were in the Premier league and 'might' have consolidated that position with him being a part of it whilst proving he could handle the step up. You just can't turn that chance down regardless of the fact it probably made him a millionaire.

Likewise Derby are more likely to go up than Wendy so I'd go there without even talking money.

I'd be a bit hacked off as a reading fan as he's done bugger all for all but half a season so has either been mismanaged or taken a very long time to settle and find his form.

I remember him being good at penalties and had pace, but wasn't that fussed when we sold him...Wendy are welcome to him,if we re signed him I'd be a bit disappointed to be honest..I'd rather have Dominic Samuel, the Reading lad on loan at Gillingham.
