I can't really lay any blame at the feet of Kevin Blackwell for yesterdays result.

The blame for me can be laid firmly at the feet of the referee who was completely and utterly awful and gave us nothing.

I still can't believe that he sent Killa off, and can't believe that the vile Jermaine Johnson did not walk for a forearm smash straight in to the face of Kyle Naughton

He gave you everything other than one decision - the sending off.

That and not sending off JJ earlier for an elbow, missing the elbow on Howard, ignoring Tudgays high foot to the side of Naughtons head, allowing you to time waste, allowing both strikers to back in/and or put their arms across the defenders faces every single attack, breaking up the game.... need I continue?

About the only thing I think he really "gave us" was not making the penalty be re-taken.

We are a better run club at the moment.

Blades fans have had to endure the "better supported club" for as long as I can remember so why not the "empty seats" jibe?

I clapped them in the forth division and I'd do it again.

Yes we need to be better and play more football but....

Easy to knock.

:)

Was in paper yesterday that we had 52% possession and 3 shots on target to their 2.

It's fascinating how different two or more views of the match can be.

I personally think that the referee was poor throughout, although I think he favoured Wednesday over us. As Foxy pointed out, there were numerous occasions when your team could have been deemed to get off lightly. However, perhaps Speed could have been sent off too, and the penalty could have been retaken. It also seemed like a strange decision to give us a free kick at the end of the match when Lee Grant was blatantly time-wasting; a yellow card is usually sufficient for such an infraction.

All in all, a poorly-refereed match that detracted from the spectacle of the occasion, I think.

But he was still a homer ;)

He was stating statistics, no need to question it.

Should join the Labour party then ..........perhaps.

Beighton you still haven't answered my question from earlier in the thread.
Did you go to the match on Sunday?

Its none of your business........but i'll give yer a clue since 1964 i've missed 1 pig game.

Just wondered what veiw you had of the game for your always positive & constructive (and short & vague) opinions.

Does that mean you've gone home and away to every Wednesday game??? :D
Wouldn't that make you a Wednesday fan? :D :D

The Blades were shit...........we should be slapping teams like the pigs hard after all SUFC have big AMBITIONS, a rich die hard Blade Chairman , 'our terry' and one of the highest paid squads in the division where as the pigs aint got a pot to piss in.

Yer got mi there !:D...............

Any way i'm off.............

With our squad we should be beating teams like Wednesday I agree.
But the Board of directors and the amount of money we have has nothing to do with if we do or don't.

The way the players perform is what matters and they haven't performed against them in the last 3 matches other than the comeback from 2 down.

But the performance on Sunday was a lot better than last season and we had more against us with the sending off this time, last time we had no excuse.
