Mass exodus

Did you actually go to the pub? Went in 3 pre match and 2 after and it's the quietest it's been for years. There was certainly no rush yesterday.
Yes, how was I supposed to know it wouldn't be that busy? šŸ˜‚

We really need to stop this nonsense of players doing a lap of the pitch at the final whistle. It’s fine for last home game of the season but not every week when there’s only 10% of fans left. If you stay for the lap it’s another 10 minutes after FT until they get round to the South Stand.

What was that all about when extra time board went up. That was really poor especially after a brilliant game. Players today deserved better
I am not sure that the players ā€œdeserveā€ people to stay when the game is already over. At least they turned up.
Whilst I understand the players being urged on by a passionate crowd I doubt that they are at all bothered what the fans do at the end of a match. An acknowledgment to the fans at away matches may be genuine.

Left at the final whistle, Shoreham Street down to Park Square was fairly normal and Park Square / Parkway was pretty quiet. Back in WF4 for 17:35
Left at final whistle. Back in NG9 at 19.10. Trams short of drivers and packed.

People fuck off well before the game even finishes. Its got nowt to do with waiting for them to do a lap of the ground.

šŸŽ¶ Win, lose or draw — we’re gone with ten to go,
I don't think you understand,
straight down the pub or back home for grub.... šŸŽ¶

On the other hand, players will now know that if they’ve lost - and loads have left early - it’s not actually a criticism of their performance or comment on their effort: it’s just that some people leave before the end. So they will feel less disheartened and dejected on those days which should really help with morale. Which could prove really helpful if we get in the Premier League again. Or if we start being rubbish again. So actually, in the long run, yesterday’s exodus will ultimately raise the players’ spirits and make them feel good about themselves! (So if you left early you don’t have to feel too guilty and can breathe a sigh of relief. Merry Christmas.)

I always stay to give them a clap but crikey those players took ages to start their "walk around" today.
Stop fannying about lads , especially when it's cold.
That's definitely an issue. I'm in the SS and it can take them ages to finally get round to us, in comparison to away games when they come straight over.

There's always been early leavers, but it seems to be in larger numbers these days,it's like a trend from the last Prem season when the ground would empty when we knew it would be anotger hammering.
Anyone remember when fans used to leave early with chants of "Part time supporters" ringing out.

FFS started to freeze and game over and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a big deal for missing 2/3 minutes of extra time. Why not stop griping, depending how the games are going it happens everywhere. Too many undercover pigs on here.

FFS, last Saturday before xmas, people have other things in their life and it doesn't say on the ticket you must stay to the end and clap them off. I stayed, the players didn't seem in a hurry to applaud the fans either, going over to where their families were seated. Its a free world my friend, you may be the 'biggest Blade' ever for staying, but get over this obsession, its not important and its absolutely nothing to do with you when folk decide to leave.

I’ve not been able to go for man flu reasons for the last three home games. I allus stay until the final whistle. The lads deserve the appreciation at the end. I’m bewildered that people want to get into the rush so quickly. Since I have a long drive home I tend to let the traffic settle down before heading back. Otherwise you’re stuck in it for ages. I’d have to leave 10 mins before the end for a quick getaway. Can’t see the bloody point in that.

Wakners (that’s a raul phrase)
Beer innit (mainly).

They really shouldn't waste so much time fucking about in 'family and friends corner' and it's a bit shit that Wilder hasn't stopped them doing it

I stay behind anyway, otherwise there's no way I would just to clap them. If they want to take the piss like they do they shouldn't expect anyone to wait

Stay to the end or leave, personal choice but I'm very glad I've watched us in a BDTBL with a cracking atmosphere in previous years.

It's dead compared to what we've had before and, seeing similar thoughts elsewhere in the country, have to wonder if it'll ever change.

The 'Is this a library' chant will be redundant soon.

Atmosphere has seemed to be more flat post COVID.

It was weird too, never seen that many people fuck off in one go when we are winning.

It's not like they were pulling themselves away from a pulsating atmosphere though. Birmingham City didn't turn up and neither did their fans (vocally). We coasted the match with zero tension, when the opposition put up no fight it becomes a bit passionless on our side too.

Also there's a snowball effect.. if you see loads leaving early , you might leave early too just so you dont get caught at the back of all the traffic.

That said, I'm hopeful atmosphere and willingness to clap the lads at full time will improve if we get to the top half of the table.

I always stay till the end,but if I want to leave early I will, same for others no doubt

I stay to the end and like to clap them off but they don't half take the piss doing it. Yesterday they finished in front of the kop but instead of clapping us there it's slowly going back to the other corner at John st then ambling around. It takes too long and it didn't used to. What's with the slowness? You actually lose the immediate rush of the win too so it dampens the celebrations.

It’s murder getting to the bar in the Crem when we win…It’s good to get a head start.
