So if I'd seen him a bit more I would think he could be the best player I've ever seen ?Nope, obviously you haven’t seen him much ,I said could be
2-0 it was and I agree entirely, never seen a player runa game like that from start to finish.Gazza at the Lane, I think we lost 3.2 (?). Best player on the pitch by a country mile. I was young though so my judgement may have been clouded by his brilliance

Sheffield Station. Bobby Moore, can I have your autograph " Fak off"As a young teen I had the pleasure of being told to “Fuck off” by the great Pat Jennings when asking for his autograph. Beat that!
I saw that game on t.v and Keane's display that day is the single most Impressive I've ever seen from a playerRoy Keane, September 1st landsdown rd Dublin v Holland, World cup qualifier, ran the game, complete midfield performance. Dutch team of van nistelroy, overmars, van de sar, Stam, hasslebank etc. Ireland where down to 10 Men for last 35 min's of the game
So if I'd seen him a bit more I would think he could be the best player I've ever s
Jeez, you are an argumentative prick with many posters. So if I'd seen him a bit more I would think he could be the best player I've ever seen ?
Thanks silentMoore, Marsh and Best played in the 1-1 draw in October 1976. Only Best out of the three played in our 2-1 win In October 1977
I was hugely disappointed with Lineker every time I saw him live.I remember him away where we lost 4-0 and in the league cup when we lost 2-0. He was superb.
Also, lineker in the league cup game. His movement was incredible, non-stop, constant quick runs and sprints. Ideal for a genius like PG.
On face value I get that, but I remember dad saying to me ''just watch lineker for ten minutes'' so I did and he dragged Beesley and Morris out of position all night so come the last ten minutes they were out on their feet. Suffice to say Spurs scored late on. Constant little sprints all night long stretching the defence all night long. My middle lad is a striker and i try to get him to do the same, when he does his team win.I was hugely disappointed with Lineker every time I saw him live.
Ian Rush used to be fantastic at that, everybody wondered why Dalglish has so much room. Then he signed for usOn face value I get that, but I remember dad saying to me ''just watch lineker for ten minutes'' so I did and he dragged Beesley and Morris out of position all night so come the last ten minutes they were out on their feet. WowsersCouldn't limit this, so I will go up the pitch, back to front:
Keeper: Peter Schmeichel for Denmark
Defender: The great imperious Franco Baresi
Midfield: I want to say TC, but I saw Michel Platini who was different levels.
Forward: The finest individual performance I ever had the pleasure to see, Marco Van Basten.
Lineker never scored against usOn face value I get that, but I remember dad saying to me ''just watch lineker for ten minutes'' so I did and he dragged Beesley and Morris out of position all night so come the last ten minutes they were out on their feet. I was gunna say exactly the same, I didn't really rate him before but he didn't seem to get out off first gear, he just cruised through the game, brilliant playerSimilar for me. Not biggest surprise as such, but not really knowing how good someone was until I saw them live.
Michael Ballack at BDTBL, 28 October 2007. Every pass was a first time pass. Every pass was to a teammate. We didn't get near him all game (not even Monty). He was phenomenal.
I’ll second that. Duncan McKenzie was brilliant that game. And George Best was great. Sadly THAT George Best goal at Old Trafford was something special. But if Ted Hemsley hadn’t got injured Bestie wouldn’t have scored it!Best player I have seen is George Best by a country mile.
Best individual performance- Duncan McKenzie for Everton when they walloped us 3-0 at the Lane in a league Cup tie.
He was unplayable that night.
