I've enjoyed a few podcasts with former players. They seem to be a bit more relaxed looking back at things and can have interesting stories to tell.

Never been a big fan of current players' interviews though. Like managers they seem worried about revealing stuff. Understandably. And they're footballers, not talk show celebrities.

There have surely been some over the years who on occasions have given decent and interesting interviews though?

Norwood and Anel of the current group give good interviews.

Baldock speaks excellently. Probably the best of our squad. An intelligent fella with substance.

I also like Osborn a lot as a character. Seems a top bloke.

Sharp, not as eloquent, but speaks honestly and from the heart. As a Blade, he's one I always like to listen to. He's been kept away from a lot of press conferences this season, probably because of the above.

Finally, and oddly, I always enjoy Oli McBurnie's interviews. Can't help but like the fella. Very self-depreciating, good sense of humour and talks openly and offers little insights.
Has a bit of fun with the interviewer, seems very down to earth.

Sharp’s appearance on the club’s official podcast (one of our own I think it’s called now?) was fantastic I thought. Was from about 2020, during lockdown anyway - stopped me in my tracks when he started talking so candidly and honestly about the loss of his son.

I loved hearing from Dane Whitehouse a few months ago. He's still a regular around the Lane but he rarely has a microphone in front of him. He was my first United hero, so I was grateful for that interview. He gave some wonderful insights into what it was like at the club during his time.

Chris Basham was another one. Just a down to earth, humble man who's fully embraced his time here. He loves doing his job, there's no airs or graces or typical footballer bullshit about him.
