Berge

Personally I think that losing Berge in this window, wouldnt actually be a bad thing. Think you got it right, Doyle and Mcatee would be a great pairing with Norwood. Much as Berge is great going passed players he does have his quiet spells.
Yeah. It’s not to say I’d want to see him leave but if we can get decent money for him I think it allows us to look at strengthening with a bigger physical presence.

Berge is deceptively quick, so we would be losing pace without him. But a) we’ve been without him a fair bit with injury and b) he doesn’t seem to be making those big runs as much just now…

Been thinking, could he suffer from longcovid, seen quite a few athletes around the world struggling to get back 100%.

Could be suffering from the effects of the jab too. Or pining for the fjords

It’s not so much the level but the style of play for this guy. I think he could play for even a Europa league level club but just not in England. He’s not suited to the league.

Serie A is absolutely made for Berge!

"Unless, you have 'do not track' and a professional ad blocker with VPN filters, then they place random ads, not connected to my browser history. Which I do. Honestly darling, that's 100% true, swear to god. It's just random. Those evil dirty spam advert companies." 👍😁😁

Oink oink 🐷
I’d feel embarrassed if we were spending money when we’d previously pleaded poverty for our bankers to write off 16m because of we were such poor payers. I’d certainly feel more than embarrassed, ashamed even to have not kept our stadium up to proper safety level, had a huge tragedy befall the same stadium and then not long after change the legal company and avoid facing the consequences of our actions. All the time somehow having powers that be allow us to retain our actual league position uninterrupted.

All that would be an absolute stain on your company, never to be washed clean, wouldn’t it?

Could replace berge easily with onomah on loan
Just my view but I don’t rate him at all.

He was hit and miss at Wednesday.

He’s featured in just 2 games this season.

Last season when they were in this league he only started 8 matches.

The season before when Fulham were in the Premier League he started just 4 matches.

He’s not done anything recent that suggests he would easily replace Berge. Only thing I remember about him was playing in the 4-0 when we hammered them.

All about opinions of course, I just haven’t seen anything in him that suggests he’s at the level we would require.

If we got a decent fee for him, I think we could cope without Berge. Someone could then post the immortal words: "Berge off".

Out today with one of them chest infections James Beattie had 😔

So near to promotion could blow up in our face if he’s gone
I think we've still got enough without him.but it weakens the squad significantly... players like Osborne, who are just ok championship players, will start getting regular game time and it will cost us points

Embarrassing from the club selling him disgusting
He's an expensive luxury. Looking at news surrounding our finances it would be irresponsible from the club not to bring in the funds to fix our problems. We aren't promoted yet, if we dodge this bill and don't go up we are under the embargo for the next two windows. Bye Berge enjoy your time on treatment table with Fulham.

I'd trust this group of players to not let losing Sander de-rail our promotion charge. Might even make them even more determined to get there.
Let's hope that if he goes Hecky has a high impact alternative signing up his sleeve to come in and push us over the line.

IF we sell Berge, is princey going to pay the money owed so we can get a replacement in before deadline day or pocket the money before he sells club

I’ll be sad to see him leave but I’ve always had the impression he’s wanted to go elsewhere. He’s a great player on his day but hand on heart, has it really worked out for him here? We must at least get another midfielder in on loan to get us over the line. Not seen much of Coulibaly, maybe he can now step up? Don’t know but you never know. But we’ve undersold again if it’s £20 million. It’s got to be nearer £30 million.
