He is slow and nesh.

He isn't slow. Lacks agility due to his height / weight, he's a big lad. But the guy can definitely shift.
He's just a really strange player. I still think there's a top-level player in him just waiting for the right coach / system etc. to tease it out of him.
Would agree that his mentality could be better though, he needs to show more desire to get on the ball.

I doubt he'll end up at Man Utd, they seem to target a position and then go after their top five choices and see where the negotiations land them.
Would think Berge will be at the lower end of their list.

I hope he gets a decent move though. Always liked the lad.

Man U fans dont like slow and nesh players. Maguire maybe looks slow but he isnt nesh and I still think he is a top player but Man U fans have been horrid to him so I can see Berge getting more stick.

He was the quickest player at United over 40 yards when he was here and that is FACT.

Just because his stride pattern is long with his mahoosive legs so they don’t pump 10 to the dozen doesn’t mean he’s slow.

Quality player. Anyone still doubting it just needs to re watch our games v them last season where we barely got a kick due to him pinging the ball about for 90 mins. We were no where near him

Okay, so they don't like slow players.

They'll love Berge. Considering he isn't slow.

Sander’s got all the physical and technical ability to be a top half PL regular.

What I love most about him is that he’s clearly a really nice, thoughtful and intelligent lad.

But potentially he lacks a level of aggression that probably just doesn’t come naturally to him. He doesn’t have that warrior/hero complex that the top players have.

My friend who is a Burnley season ticket holder and doesnt rate Berge has just messaged me laughing at the thought of Berge going to Man U.

He won both the fans POTY and players POTY, so your friend is very much in the minority I’d say in not rating him as he was their stand out player last season.

Berge is absolutely deserving of being titled nesh but he is certainly not slow

I'd agree with the nesh tag. The weird thing with Berge is that every so often he'd have a game where the nesh version would disappear and he'd get stuck in and opposition players would just bounce off him. Then he'd revert to type in the next game. So frustrating. I think it's just his character. He prefers to sit in the background.

Yep think it's just part of his make up/personality that he lacks aggression , a shame really

He's never been slow. Might not be ultra quick off the mark or always turns on a six pence, but deffo not slow.

I’d guess roughly 350-400 players played in the Premier league last season. Berge 10th fastest? Rapid..

Top speeds are a weird one, I remember one season Jagielka clocked the top speed for a single run when he was about 33.

Speed in football terms, particularly in more congested central areas of the pitch, is less about pure sprinting in a straight line and more about acceleration and agility, tightness in the turn, and speed of thought/seeing things before they happen.

Berge might have the running power of an elite sprinter, but his time at United showed he was weaker in the other attributes associated with 'quick' midfielders.

Reckon this is just his agent stirring up rumours, either drumming up interest, or pushing an interested club into making an offer.

Man Utd have Mainoo, McTominay, Casimero and Erikson in CM/CDM, Berge doesn't come close to any of them
