Look at that list, it’s ridiculous to suggest that we’re the only club that’s had difficulties with recruitment.

West Ham have sold a player for £100m ffs and only signed a 17 year from Clftonville!
...but have also agreed deals for Ward-Prowse and Maguire

We are a total laughing stock
I, for one, wouldn't blame Hecky in the slightest for being properly fucked off about the whole thing, but he's a proper top bloke and I reckon he'll just get his head down and crack on with the signings we've made and the lads yet to come through the door. It's going to be a scruffy, desperate start to the season and I won't be surprised if we're the favourites across all bookies to be rock bottom come the end of the season. I hope the lads use that as motivation in the dressing room. We're going to be in a scrap every single game and if the starting 11 has some good bottle about them and Hecky can get them fired up, then fuck it, hopefully a packed out Bramall Lane will be too.

In the words of legend Warnock, it's disappointing, it's all disappointing, but take the fucking positives out of that, take the fucking positives out of that.

West Ham's need to strengthen is not equivalent to ours. They have a PL ready squad, we don't.

This 100%.

Sander leaving is one less PL ready player we didn’t have to worry about previously.

I just don’t understand it. We’re giving ourselves a higher mountain to climb as we get closer to KO.

Rice left 3 weeks ago, so it’s not like they’ve managed to do things quickly. It proves that things take time, it’s not a 5 minute job like some of our fans seem to think it is
Everyone can play hard-ball with West Ham though when it comes to negotiations. Everyone is aware they've £105M in their pocket...

I would choose a year of Berge over £12 million. We need a squad for this season that know how to play this system and give the fans some hope of success.

Holding players to ransom, if that's what we've done, works in some situations. If you're a stable club with a decent squad ready to achieve your goals that season, you can threaten a player and if the worst comes to the worst, you can follow through with it. Imagine Berge calling our bluff and we lose a few games with Osborn in midfield. The pressure to play him would be insane.
Not being pedantic but what’s this ‘system’ we play that takes new players so long to learn? I genuinely can’t see this complicated system to how we play that some keep referring to.

Every system or style of play takes time to learn; when to press, when to drop off. When to overlap, when to underlap. Patterns of attacking play, ways to build up.

You also need to get used to your teammates. Who talks and who is quiet? Does he want the ball into feet in that situation, or does he want it in behind? Does he respond well to criticism, or praise? Does he want the ball in tight situations?

Your manager and coaching staff need to get used to you. Right/wrong things to say, good/bad in certain positions or game states, actual ability, ability to deal with pressure.

I think we will see a different system emerge this season, I think Heck'y has alluded to it before but he's not had the players to change things, the system we currently play all the players are used to and "in game" changes we make, we could see us start with a back four without the overlapping we are used to seeing (or not so much of it) which means Balldock wouldn't be a starter as he is in there because of his attacking ability.

West Ham are making big moves now though.

I don’t think the changes will effect the back 5. It’s our strongest and most settled suit.

Well that’s told me 😂 👍

Get the green tick out. That status sounds harsh has fuck though. No thanks at all for him??

Being fair.. fuck him now.

If I want someone to look decent for 20 minutes a match and do nothing else for 70 and get out jumped by people half his size. We can always give him a call again.
