Must be careful what they wish for, Be ironic if in two years time both Ndiaye & Berge were on the scrap heap, funny old game

I’ve been negative about us selling Berge, but I also think ‘fuck him’.

If he’d rather leave us when we’ve stuck by him through injuries, offered new terms & improved him as a player for a relegation rival then it is literally all about money for him and nothing else.

Get gone Berge. Better off having lads who want to be here

I expect we have offered him new deals before now even with his injury problems, if he has still turned them down then its clear his agent and that tit the Norway manager have been in his ear.

I do think people are forgetting how much influence agents have. I can see why Wilder had a hard stance with most of them and was happy to have possible signings be left at the train station when an agent changes the deal at the 11th hour.

We stuck by Berge, he won't stick by us.

Why does Berge want to move to a club, where he also has a decent chance of ending back in the Championship tied to a long term contract. Surely his whole logic of not signing a contract with us, is that he can have a greater range of options next season and potentially up his value in terms of wages significantly. If this happens, I will cry a little for the futility of life...

Why would Berge want to go to Burnley? I know the press are blowing smoke up company’s arse but in reality they are a first season premiership team just like us and there is a very good chance they go down too. Surely he could get a better move.

Is that where you would register a business?

It is also worth pointing out apparently Sander has always had a release clause in his contract.

Despite "European clubs" often being interested, none have ever pressed the button to sign him.

We may rate him highly to some degree here but it seems obvious a lot of other clubs don't see it the same way.

As a Blade for over 50 years I've seen some reyt shit happen at BL but I never saw us this bad after a promotion. I can't get me at on wi whats goin on nah.
We should be excited fa new season but instead were just rollin around wonderin wtf is goin on

We now have ZERO excuses for not building a good squad for the long term

Although being the mess we are will make it harder to attract players

We need to make 4 good permanent signings and 2 loan signings

3 of the 4 permanents should be in midfield

For me...

Smallbone / Hamer / Mady Camara
Doyle
O'Brien / Field
Akpom

Then 2 loans from...

Chukwuemeka
Palmer / McAtee
Anderson
Archer

Additional possibilities: Chair, Yaremchuk, K Moore, K Davis, Maupay, Kaba, Willock, Philogene

Get fucking busy, United.......

Agreed mate. It's just the not knowing that's doing most of us in.

Might have to be the old cliché 'see where we are after 10 games' 😬

yeah spot on really with that list i would add souza to it i think we may well get him now sanders off to burnley but really think united have to have a rethink with this 40% relegation clause in any new contracts make it 25% and think we would land doyle and souza

If he was going to Everton would you be making this post?

Revising our stance on these clauses is a must if we want to get anything worthwhile done

With Ndiaye and Berge gone, do we really think any potential signings of any calibre will be daft enough to agree to massive wage drops in the event of an increasingly likely relegation....... nope

Not read the thread but why would Berge not have resigned for us ages ago if the height of his ambition is Burnley????

FFS it’s a downward step. I just don’t get it!!

Remind me which club out of the two of ours finished higher in the league last year and spend seven of the last nine seasons in the Premier League compared to 7/9 out of it, and then tell me why it is an obvious downward step to move to it?

Surely, the folks at SUFC if they had any gumption would use this to their advantage to get him to sign a contract.

The fear has always been him leaving for a better side, rumours of Newcastle and AC Milan. When the reality for the lad when he’s set free is….BURNLEY.

You think both United and Sander would think, ok…it’s a fair cop.

Where do I sign?

Money they’re willing to pay him some. Also they look like they’re interested in staying up we don’t.
