Absolutely buzzing. Supposedly on a par if not better than that Bournemouth player - David Brooks. Pace and Skill something that has been missing for quite a while.
Wilder works his magic again. UTB..

People know his abilities on here better than me but like everyone else I am excited at being able to watch him this season playing for us, fast and direct, the sort to get us out of our seats when attacking the kop, my only concern is the build up is rising (understandabley ) and hope we don't expect to much to soon,he is only a young lad, not trying to put a dampner on it,great news for us, season cannot come quick enough suddenly .

This signing is testament to CW's growing managerial reputation. What a great coup! As for Herr Klopp - what a legend!!!

Many a true word etc. This could be a game-changer for United. Klopp (like CW) is a proper manager - unlike whiney-cunt Mourinho, 'have you seen the size of my gut?' Bruce and even Guardiola who just buys the best-available talent. If Wednesday had got Woodburner on a loan, I'd have been pissed off, but they're on the slide. The future's bright. It's red and white.

The loan system is the best way to acquire talented PL players on the relative cheap.
He needs game time hence why Klopp wants him playing in the Championship.
Loads of Championship clubs would have him, so it’s a coup that he’s chosen us.

Wilder has just been on Talksport 10 minutes ago talking about the new season.
He confirmed that the deal hasnt been signed yet but yes, Woodburn is joining us on loan.

Wilder has just been on Talksport at 9.15am this morning.

He confirmed that Woodburn is joining us
Said he HADN’T signed yet but won’t be any problems.
That explains why it’s not official yet because nothing is signed.

Oh come on, Grecian2000, you know they get all the big stories right:

(I know I post this every couple of weeks, but I need my fix as it still floats my boat)

To be fair, coco, what can The Star's reporters do? Dead-loss Joss refuses to acknowledge that Wendy are under a transfer embargo when the rest of the world knows they are?

More Sheffield Wednesday players could be headed for the exit at Hillsborough if the rumours are to be believed.
The Yorkshire Post report that both Fernando Forestieri and Keiren Westwood are wanted by other clubs this window, as Jos Luhukay trims his squad. Link

Plenty of other clubs, Huddersfield being a prime example, have used the loan market in this way to get promoted to the EPL. I see no negatives in this at all.
Same here. It’s always a bit of a gamble with younger players, but for years we’ve bemoaned the fact that other club’s have had real quality younger players from top clubs while we’ve been left with dross. The only decent ones that I can recall were Matt Phillips and Gary Cahill but they were at smaller clubs.

The trend changed last season with Blackman from Chelsea, and the lads from ManU and Liverpool seem like exceptional players who’ll also do well for us. Like others have said, I think our academy may be helping.
