Tissoudali was indeed end of contract in the summer, that’s why they took the small fee. But they knew this a long time and it’s disappointing they did not line up a proper replacement for the January transfer window. The second part of the season was quite poor because the squad was too thin. With Coulibaly injured we had no cover in midfield. The 3 central midfielders had to play every game, even if they were knackered or out of form and up front we lacked ball retention and someone with skills. The young lad who stepped up from assistant to manager did ok with the limited resources he had but you get the feeling that it was the cheap option. We started 3 years ago with a much larger coaching staff then we have now. Coaches who left are not replaced, the training facilities have not been upgraded since our re-start in non-league. This summer the owners have a lot to proof at both sides of the Channel.
