Bash's performance

He's been great recently i agree but to say that any criticism of him is unjustified is absolute bullshit, prior to the last couple of months he hasn't been that great and was quite suspect at the back making a lot of mistakes, been a lot better recently and long may it continue.

Can't agree with that. When we started on our run after the shocking start to the season, we were still quite a a bit shakey. He was the difference between us getting a result and getting steamrollered in midfield.

Bash is a far better footballer than Booker ever was. Indeed this team are all far better footballers than we have had since Currie's day. They are an absolute delight to watch and the quality of the football way above League One level. If that was a 6/10 from us [I don't agree, by the way] it would be a 9 or 10 from most teams in this league and some in the league above.

We are playing fantastic football this season. It's a team to be proud of.
Bob Booker was a first team regular in a team playing in a much higher level than the one basham has finally decided to put a shift in for

I'm referring more to when he moved into defence for the first time, improved since thankfully, don't see him being a regular next season

Now that's unfair and inaccurate, one thing you can never accuse Chris Basham of is not putting shift in, whether he's playing crap or not.

Basham was immense. He hasn't always been my favourite player but he looks better and better in this 3 man defence on the right (he also stepped into midfield 2nd half for a period and that gave us the extra man for a time which was very good management.)

As for the 6/10 comment, I know where you are coming from but I think we have to give the fat scouser a bit of credit for that. He set his side up to play to our weakness, just like Rosler did, and it caused us problems for big parts of the game. Wilder was very good in acknowledging how good Charlton were, but also damning in his comment about us turning up every week ("proper footballers" was his quote I think).

Even when the opposition have worked out how to play against us and trained hard to set up the best way and even execute it correctly, they've still got to stop us and Charlton couldn't today

Immensely proud of the team I support tonight

Its a good point you make about all very well teams working out how to play us -- they still have to contend with our quality players all across the park

Bash was immense yesterday. Good tactics from Wilder to move Bash slightly further up the pitch to get tight on Ricky Holmes. As soon as Bash did that, Holmes stopped bossing the game.

You're overlooking the fact that I've seen them both play. There's no doubt who is the better footballer of the two.
