You're not wrong haha. Would just be good to have a new face (and ex-Blade) amongst the coaching staff! Typical Lester took the Brentford job just days ago, he'd have been back here.

Or, the likes of Cadamerati and Lester knew he was on his way back and got out as soon as they can.

We didn’t create enough chances and we gave up too many shots on goal. In the early part of the season Souttar, Anel & Cooper helped us massively over perform our underlying numbers but as the season progressed the actual numbers started to reflected the stats (I.e. the variance corrected itself).

It’s my major concern, our stellar over performance at the start of last season covered up some pretty big flaws that became more and more apparent towards the end of the season.

Novel idea but I’m sure Chris is quite capable of making it known he wants an additional coach, if he does, and then getting the best man for the job.

Yes Chris is a Blade, but he’s also been promoted from every single division in the football league, into it at the bottom and out of it at the top.

I’m sure that is the reason he gets the job at SUFC.

Keith Andrews had nothing to do with us and Chris brought him in and he’s now managing on the PL.

Don't understand this obssession with wanting us to bring back our ex players (with no coaching experience mind!) as coaches. Being a good player doesn't automatically make you a good coach. It looks like Wilder will be joined by Knill, Prestridge and Collins who he's obviously familiar with. Jack Lester won't be coming back so hopefully we appoint a good striker coach.

Michael Collins was promoted from the academy last summer. Gary McSheffrey replaced him as U21s manager in August 2024. Biggsy on the ball as ever.

I seem to remember him talking about his badges awhile back.I absolutely agree with you, it's tailor made for him, maybe not yet but certainly in the not too distant future.

When he retires maybe. I can't imagine he would sacrifice adding to his EFL goal records (with a club he has an affiliation with).

Chris will need to prove he can be an effective leader and he will be even more so but until he is it's gonna be hard to verify that he thinks he will be more effective
