I would say this was the peak line-up the last time we played 5 at the back during Wilder's first spell:

I think the closest we can get with our current squad of available players is:

A few key areas we can't replicate:
- I don't think we've got someone who would drop deeper into a 10 like McGoldrick used to, so would have to play two out and out strikers
- We don't have a Quarterback type holding midfielder like Norwood, so could see us having to play 2 CM's
- I don't know if Hamer can be trusted to do the defensive work in flat midfield three, so I've put him more advanced
- I've opted for Seriki, but could see RWB duties shared with Ogbene (neither are as good defensively as George was)
- This system should definitely play to Burrows strengths, so would expect to see an improvement from him
- Don't know if Mee would have the legs to perform the under/overlapping CB role, so you lose one of the key features of this system. Conversely, I think Tanganga could perform this role well and has shown a willingness to get on the ball and step out of defence.
