We get ourselves in a magnificent position from an excellent calm and confident performance for 80 minutes and then throw it away in a way I’ve never quite before seen us throw a game away ever.

Key moment for me, McGoldrick selfishly opting to go for goal when two at the back post would have a tap-in. Pass that and it’s a calm 4-0 win.

I'm so fucking angry I don't know what to do with myself. Feel like going to Bramall Lane and shouting Fuck off at the South stand.

3 shitting nil.

3 nil.

What are we playing at.

Nevermind the players, they'll bounce back but as a fan I'll never trust our backline again.

Villa are shite, simple. We've given em hope that they actually might be decent.

Hat trick for Billy, score 3 goals away at villa park, we take 4 points off villa and score 7 goals.
So why do I feel like shit

That was a disgrace of a last 15 minutes. Thrown away what was looking like the performance of the season.

All started when mgoldrick shoots when he has 3 options to make it 4-0.

Then the goals we've conceded have just completely deflated me. I love Henderson and don't want to go too over the top but he cost us against Leeds and again today in two games that could prove vital at the end of the season.

Brings Cranie on and I cant remember seeing him. It’s like we were playing with 10 ten men. We didn’t need to change the system, they were deflated. A lesson for Henderson, he’s got a great future ahead of him, but he’s still got a lot to learn. The second mistake was likely made because the first one was still in his mind.

Wilder and Henderson have to take the blame. Terrible keeping and Wilder tried to shut up shop. We have ro have Duffy or Dowell on the pitch....End of
Ffs, why are people going on about Duffy? Dowell did well and got an assist. Mistakes cost us not Duffy not getting on the pitch.

We can blame Wilder but he doesn't make McGoldrick greedily pass the ball to the keeper when a simple cross makes it 4-0.

Wilder doesn't make Hendo embarrassingly nesh the corner.

Wilder doesn't make JOC do the woeful clearance attempt.

These players have been excellent but these mistakes aren't remotely befitting players close to going top of the Championship.

Brilliant performance to go three up, Sharp su perb again, never saw anything but three points.

Henderson’s had a nightmare there, he’s too lackadaisical sometimes and parries the ball too often. Shocker.

O’Connell had time to bring it down, roll a fag and clear it up field!

How the fuck doesn’t he know that?

Unbelievable

And where did five minutes extra time come from?

2 mistakes from Henderson. That’s all.

It happens.

Well played otherwise. Villa got lucky.

I'm calling the police!

Why?

Let's not kid ourselves it would have been a great win but second goal shouldn't stand and they should have had a penalty.

Gutted, but fuck it...move on to Boro.
Well done to Billy and our excellent fans.

Ffs, why are people going on about Duffy? Dowell did well and got an assist. Mistakes cost us not Duffy not getting on the pitch.
It's simple mate...Duffy and Dowell are footballers, they keep hold of the ball.

Wilder committed a Sunday League error....we are 3.0 up and he's thinking who do I need to give a game.to...I.know Cranie and Washington...we.played with 9 men and paid the price

With both Dowell and Norwood giving the ball away in dangerous areas + the body language from some the players and I thought the 3-0 scoreline flatted us. Thought CW thought we had won it! and his substitutions where poor... should have been the usual McGoldrick, Duffy and Stearman. CW’s interview afterwards said we were outstanding? sorry Chris, not for me.

I am desperately disappointed by that, but let's get it right, we didn't unravel, or fall apart or any other sort of collapse, it was 3 individual errors that cost us the 3 points. With 15 minutes left I was so proud of our team, we were fantastic, a league above our opponents, & I have to say I was disappointed in the last two substitutions, didn't think they were necessary at all & certainly made us fall back deeper into defence, but again I didn't think they had any real thread, & just average defending in those three moments would have seen us with the three points at the final whistle & putting the wind up the competition. Still, it's the Blades way.

Disagree.

You have something in common with the commentators though. (And 99% of fans perhaps?). You don’t know the rules of the game.

The rules of the game regarding the keeper handling the ball is that he must have 2 hands on it and have it under control.

He had 2 hands touching the ball but no way was it under his control. That was a perfectly legitimate goal.

A chance to go top - Check
On Sky TV - Check
Away game - Check

Lose then.

Not a negative post but the odds are against us with the above three points.

Prove me wrong Blades.
Not quite but a good call. I wonder whether being on Sky gets into the players heads. Certainly didn't do much for Hendo and JOC transfer valuations. Next up boro and West Brom on sky. FFS.
