Gone Elsewhere Ashley Barnes

We could have easily have gone up that season with Allison. Barnes is only coming in, if he does, as back up, with twenty minutes to go in games I can't think of many better to hold up play, win fouls, score the odd goal. I think think he'll do much better than you think.
An Arsenal mate of mine let me sit next to him (no fee) back in 2019, for Arsenal v Burnley, early in the season. Undoubtedly Ashley Barnes was one of the most effective players on the pitch. Also my mate said before kick off that he hates Barnes.

Obviously I'm not desperate to sign him now😄 But if it's true we want him, he must still be capable of subbing on as a much better option than a rookie teenager.

Go on then Irv what have you got?
No point in being cryptic with injury news, nobody gets bollocked for leaking those stories.
I’m not being cryptic- he’s not out for the season at all. Anticipate him back mid-Jan

Might be in the minority but I'd like us to spend a bit of money and bring in a striker. Take on board Wilders comments about the group chemistry, my preference would be for a long-term solution rather than Ashley Barnes (no disrespect to him).

I wasn't been a dick, I just mean people drip feed information when they don't need to.
You anticipate him back by then or the club do? Do you know if it is his back or is it his hammy?

Hopefully the club can make this happen soon.

I take it you don't want promotion.
A strike force of Moore and Barnes is not going to get us promotion, "They don't like it up em Mr Mainwaring"
Both Sunderland's goals involved pace, which is what modern football is about now.
the 2 sunderland lads up front highlighted exactly what were missing weve no pace at all even our top striker campbell hasnt got that much

Could pop up with vital goals of the bench.

but Wilders not a modern manager, he’s a stubborn grind our a result type of old fashioned manager
well he needs to get up to speed and quick 56 i think hes got the rest of this season to prove himself dont think our new owners will persist with him if we dont go up this season

It would be like playing Higdon and Sammon upfront. They Sound and would be more effective as Pokémon.
