pigs take 15000 to every away game according to pork talk they had 15000 in the 8999 crowd at stevenage when they lost 5-1

Derby County in the Cup in 1986 would have been close, they had 10,000 there and the crowd was around 20,000.

I was at the game but I thought they had more like 7000
They won 1-0 and that got them promoted
They were very well behaved and didn't set a foot on the pitch
At the end I couldn't help thinking that if it had been United going up at the Baseball Ground all manner of carnage would have broken out

Really ???
Can't remember that one mate

I remember the League game around about the same time. Derby won 1-0 and got promotion

Yes, they played the Pigs in the next round, but didn't take as many there. I went to it and nearly got into a bit of bother

They also fetched a load the season they won the old First division and the season after, results were 1-1 and 0-4

Actually it was said 10,000 at the time, perhaps it was an exaggeration

Think you're referring to the league game the following year. The game I'm referring to was in the FA Cup when Derby were in the 3rd Division and the Lane end was, to excuse the pun, absolutely rammed.

I was going to go for that. Still more Blades, but it was close.

They had away end and terrace to the tunnel and a small amount on kop about 16k
Except it wasn't really a small amount. I was on the kop and they had at least a quarter of it, there was a big line of coppers from the back of the kop right down to the front trying to keep everyone apart

How many Swansea fans there in the FA Cup in 2007?

I want going to say that one as I went.

They brought 5K and the gate was 10K.
Swansea were league 1 at the time and we were Premier League.
One of the loudest and best support I've seen ever at Bramall Lane.
Think we lost 0-3 and they totally outplayed us from start to finish.
Based on that performance it's no surprise they quickly moved up the leagues.

We did same to QPR a couple of years ago, unfortunately didn't storm the leagues.

Is this before first whistle, or before last whistle??

This is the game I was on about, the ground emptied of most Blades fans at half time. If my memory serves me correctly, we were fed some right old rubbish on local radio " I will always play my strongest team for every game" (Bollox Neil)..

Home to Birmingham City, I think it was 1977 our last home game, night match. We had already been confirmed as relegated, we had nothing to play for, Birmingham needed to win to stay up, and wolves lost at home to Liverpool the same night which sent them down with us, and Liverpool won the Division one title again.
I think the attendance was 28k, I would estimate half of them were from brum, loads of em on our kop that night, but not in the middle. Drew 1:1.
Anyone else remember that game?

I was a school-kid then and on the bottom half of the kop. The Wendies were in the top corner behind the white fence. There were several rushes in the first half to get at them and loads of blokes around us kept trying to get at them from below.

I remember it...was pissing down. We still mathematically weren't down, but needed to win 9-0 or summat to be in with a chance.
Ian Benjamin scored (a penalty I think) and there was a pitch invasion. Me and my mates ran onto the pitch from the kop, and then took up seats on the South stand :)

Don't recall any Brum on Shoreham street, or that they brought a particularly big following.

I was also on the kop that day, wendy fans were on the kop to the side, and Blades fans below them and at both sides trying to get at them. As you put, several times they were rushed and the coppers kept the blades fans back. To say the pigs had a quarter is utter nonsense. They quickly disappeared after the game.To say they had a quarter is utter nonsense.

Stadium of Light. Home fans are always outnumbered...most of the fans are singing 'Away the lads'.

I'll get my coat.
