Arise Tom Davies

Played a blinder when he came on. Controlled the pace of game and made things tick. Coincidently we started play through midfield as well, albeit Bristol had 10 men and were tiring
I said this before he came on. He's so calm and composed in possession. He takes his time to make the right pass for the right reason. He'll also hold onto the ball longer than others or start to run with it to draw players to him which creates space for others. He reminds me of Gary Speed.

Showed his PL class last night. Saw him livewhen he was 18 at Everton and thought he would go on to big things. Injuries have probably derailed his career, but shows our depth we can just bring him on to manage a game.

This is why I think there is a massive gulf between us, Burnley and Leeds vs the rest. No other teams have the capability to do what we did last night.

If he can do the minutes then there's a big decision for wilder to make (if we get to final).

I personally would like to see souza Davies start and also holding and anel - main spine of our squad for the final (if we get there) would be immense, with some big experience between them and of big occasions.

Agree with this, Holding has played in and won two FA Cup finals and played at the highest level the majority of his career. Same with Davies, loads of Premier League experience.

That experience could be invaluable, especially if we make the final.

Surprised Davies didn’t get more stick sure he trained with the gas and lived in bristol

Both sound at this level but if we are promoted no

Posted somewhere else but need him fit for the final . And to start! The perfect player for the Wembley final. And I love Peck! However he got kinda shown up by Davis.
Not a dig at Davies, but Peck has had a full season under his belt that he didn't expect. Had Blaster and Davies been fit, had Souza had less time on the treatment table, Peck's contribution to this season may have been far less. Lets not forget that Peck has had an exceptional season as well and has been part of the reason we hauled so many points this year. Davies, fair play to him, the games i've seen him play this season he's been excellent.

Of course , as I put , huge Peck fan . Really excited to watch him grow to be even better. However we cannot have favourites in the Wembley final. Davis if fit enough, showed what we were missing in the middle of the park when he came on. A calm and assured footballer. Thinking about his next pass and move. Peck doesn't have the footballing brain or sheer experience that Davis has. Peck for his minutes on the pitch deserves to start . But in the Wembley final we cannot be ruled by our hearts.

Having one on the pitch and one on the bench between Peck and Davies is such a game changer because it means one lad can fully empty the tank knowing the replacement will be just as good.

The problem with Peck is that you can tell he's absolutely desperate to score. Over the last couple of months he's been shooting when he's had better options so it's worked against us.

It would be very harsh to drop him for the final, but it's good to know Davies can replace him if needed.

Unfortunately there's no way that Holding starts ahead of Robbo which is a shame as Burrows is a lot better when he's got Ahmedhodzic next to him.

Wilder has and always will have his favourites. Many would argue that our strongest starting 11 includes Holding Davies and O'hare in place of Robbo Peck and Brewster but it won't happen.

No we don’t we need better
We only need better if that means a fully fit Tom Davies because he is more than good enough for the PL, as he has proved. Ancellotti loved him for a reason. Footballing intelligence and speed of thought are big parts of that, which all of our midfielders except for Arblaster lack. But, sadly, it doesn’t look as if we can have that.

Wilder needs to drop Robinson and Peck, not because they’ve done anything wrong but because with Davies and Holding (if fit) we retain and progress the ball much better.

He won’t, and instead he’ll see fans challenging his decision and try to one up them (how did the Millwall game go?) and it’ll be something he’ll have to reflect on after his time with us. Sometimes his stubbornness is great other times it’s a fundamental flaw.
