Ordered Coventry online but not picked it up yet due to the stupid queues. Someone else asked the same question, but any idea if it will be mayhem tomorrow trying to pick it up pre: match ? It's probably the impossible question though ......

The trouble is, she only met the father when she joined the queue.

She was born in the queue herself.

These are the stories currently being told in the queue .............. about the ancestors of those who have, in the last generation, shuffled past the memorial garden in the car park.

Hopefully they will use the usual little kiosk for collecting the matchday tickets, LM.

Allow a fair bit of time to collect tickets before the match. About 20 mins to half an hour before Scunny and Bolton, when arriving just before 2.

At millwall they didn't have my ticket, but sent me to the front of the queue at the box office where they reprinted it. No drama.

Also got my Coventry ticket printed at the same time

Genuine question, without apportioning any kind of blame or criticism...

But those going down in person today to get Coventry tickets, why have you waited until the day before the game when they've been on sale since late Feb?

Seen loads of people moaning on Social Media and whilst I'm a massive proponent of making it as easy as possible for people to purchase, whenever they want, I can't help but feel that some of the criticism is somewhat unfair, when leaving things to the last minute.

The Coventry game didn't become a possible 'promotion sealer' until the last weekend. I'm guessing that's why demand has peaked since then.

The staff were walking the queue asking if anyone was there just to collect pre ordered tickets and telling them to go to reception to collect without waiting.

You can pick up pre ordered tickets up from reception. I went down this afternoon and this is what the ticket office was telling people to do. One guy in front of me waited two hours got to the front of que and was told to pick up from reception desk, saw a few walking straight in and picking up

No excuses. I'll be honest and say that I just pick my matches, usually 8-10 home games per season. I don't think we're any different to the majority of clubs up and down the land in that crowds will show a sharp increase when the good times arrive and drop away in lean times.

For any business there are challenges in scaling up to meet a sudden rise in demand and it will be a shame if people don't get to attend tomorrow due to ticketing issues.

I really do want to go tomorrow, but work/childcare commitments have meant I've stopped by yesterday and today around 3pm, but been unable to stay and queue. One more try tomorrow and fingers crossed.

Oh for the days when you could just queue at the turnstile.

I only made the decision to go yesterday, because frankly I had no intention going till it became a potential promotion-clincher – I was hoping to save the travel cash for the rest of the weekend games. It took some creative meeting-rescheduling to enable me to get the time off too.

That said, it took five minutes to book online. I've not had any reason to set foot in the ticket office for the last 10 years.

I went in my lunch hour Sunday and got back to work 2 hours later. Had to work the time back, so no huge drama, but definitely an area for the club to look at this summer.
Kelly Brook, ST and the rush for various remaining fixtures creating the perfect storm..and that was before today's system crash.
Don't even start me on the car parking since we got good UTB

Yeah all together it doesn't help, I think the MK Dons tickets dropping form 35k to 30k loyalty points must have been one of the main reasons for the increase, I ordered my away tickets online this time, glad I did with the look of the queues.

I'm planning on heading down there for about 4pm to get a ticket for tonight.

I'm going to actually get a ticket before K.O, aren't i?

Kelly Brook? When's that fight, then? Is it against Kellie Maloney? Will Kelly Brooks be on the undercard? :p

Seriously, and I've mentioned this before, wouldn't it be an idea to train a CCTV camera on the queue and a live feed on the OS so that people can decide if it's worth nipping down in the lunchtime, after work etc.?

Our DPD driver (and Blade) reckons the queues are to Cherry Street at the moment.

I keep seeing people say the ticket office will have to revise their strategies etc etc.

However, to be fair this week is pretty unprecedented in recent times and how regularly will it be repeated in the future?

World title boxing match, 3 home games at which we could be promoted or win a title, a beam back of game where we could get promoted, and an away game with a minimum of 7.5k tickets available (demand will exceed supply). All this within the same period. Oh, and season ticket renewals in which the prices have froze.

The only thing the club could potentially do better is absolutely hammer home the online facility and its advantages/capabilities.

I went down yesterday, waited 20 minutes then came back, queue was moving very slowly.

Anyhow I ordered a new season ticket last night online for the Kop (my first since the PL season) but I wasn't able to buy 2 new kids season tickets.

So I'll be back down to the ticket office when the queues have died down a bit. Wanted to ask if I can change seat or upgrade to a different stand paying extra if I don't like the view.

Was yours a renewal? I tried ordering one for me dad online but saying can't accept new registrations? I've emailed them expressing intension to buy but imagine it won't get seen for days!

Took time off to phone this morning to sort but can't even get in the queue on that, just cuts out lol.

Finally the old bugger has decided to go down and get it himself but I've warned him of the queue. It'll be at least an hour til he gets there so christ knows how long he'll be standing around for.

There's little excuse to not buy online where possible.

I have heard a few complaints about this and it is something the club could look at. An existing season ticket holder should be able to buy season tickets for adults or kids who haven't been before and be able to book them on-line ( and move seats if possible to where they are no season ticket holders)

Also if you are not a member you should be able to buy a ticket on-line (and print your own tickets) if you have a purchase history within, say, 5 years. ( or key in a promotion code if you are trying to entice students coming into the area)

The club could always insist that all members/season tickets must purchase match tickets for away games on-line and must always renew season tickets on-lineon line. Would there be an issue with this ?

I think there are ways they could have organised this better over the last 4-5 days (should people really have to queue for 2 hours in this day and age) and I would have thought that the club will look into it.

Not a chance mate.
But don't worry they have laid on a beam back for everyone still in the queue.
Kevin has been in top negotiations with Hunters Bar Infant school and has managed to borrow their TV for the night enjoy.635962910246687757-2133962609_tvcart.jpg

Im sure many of you know but log online, pay for them, and just collect them.

So much easier if you're just buying tickets, all you need is your customer number - your password if you've never logged on before is generally set to as post code.
