Outgoing? Anel

He's easily City class, I think Stones and Diaz will be worried for their places when they sign him and Ake will be looking for a move.

City will struggle to pay his fee and will be forced to throw Grealish and Oscar Bob into the deal as well as paying a substantial portion of their wages for the next two years.

Oh and I've heard Kane is refusing to play tomorrow night as he's scared of the Bosnian wonder kid
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm in your post? 😀

Among some others Anel seemed to be better than Championship in our Champ season and not many thought the team would take 0-5 beatings weekly based.

I think there has been damage between Anel and the club/supporter and it's better for both to let him go.. We also need transfer money (just hoping we use it wisely)

It’s not that simple

There are plenty of top draw players who have been relegated in the last few years

Maddison/Wjinaldum/Andy Robertson/ Maguire/Mitrovic

To name a few

It's not the relegation, it's the throwing the towel in, the lack of effort, the 'I'm too good for this' attitude.

Plus he's physically weak. He's good on the ball and good going forward but centre halves need to be able to dominate their opposition not resort to shirt pulling all the time. He gets rag dolled too much and I for one won't be sorry to see the back of him

That’s just absoloute waffle

He didn’t throw the towel in , what evidence do you have to say he threw the towel in ?

Same goes for Vini Souza ?

Is it cause they don’t go around starting fights with there own players or attempting to break peoples legs like Robinson did with palmer

If argue Robinson trying to get a red card every week is chucking it 👍

Being realistic, I'd say 12-13 million for him. Bit lanky, good on the ball, decent progressive dribbler. Sure, he has the work ethic of a sloth on a sugar crash, but he's got decent physical attributes and is good technically. Brentford or somewhere on the continent would be good for him.

yes brentford probably would be a good fit for him but personally dont think hes good enough for the premier league can see him ending up in italy

Anel was phoning it in for a large part of last season. If you couldn't see that then more fool you. Souza was the same. Neither wanted to be at the Lane and had given up long before the end a d it showed. Evidence? My own eyes.

As for Robinson, he certainly doesn't have the natural ability that Anel has but one thing he did have was heart. Hence CW took the decision to move the captaincy from our hero Anel (and drop him from the team) and handed it to Robinson.

Anel and Souza should be moved on quickly as it's in their and the clubs mutual interest to do so. I for one won't miss either of them.

I think Anel could have a decent top flight career. He'll probably end up in La Liga or Serie A, or someone like Everton, Crystal Palace, Brighton etc.

He was fine last season, but it became quite clear this year that he doesn't have the balls/guts for a dogfight. In a team doing well, or "ok", he'll be fine

Given the club sold our only realistic chance of staying up right before the season started, and any lingering hopes were done by October, can you particularly blame them for mailing the season in?

both players wanted to go what were the club supposed to do nidaye apparently was offered the highest contract any player has been offered at the lane and still chose marseille fwiw i doubt we would have stayed up if both had signed new contracts

Yes. Cos they are highly paid professional footballers who have signed a contract with the club and should have been more professional. No doubt others were just as pissed off at the club but not all were going through the motions. Its when times are tough and things aren't going your way that you see the true measure of a man/woman. I absolutely do blame them for mailing it in as you only need one or two (Lundstram another example) and things start to disintegrate pretty quickly as others start to think 'why the fuck should I try if them arseholes aren't. We probably wouldn't have been good enough anyway so I don't blame them for thinking that way, but even so you should have enough integrity to not let it show in your efforts. Very unprofessional to do otherwise.

Fwiw, I think selling Berge was a reasonable financial decision and I wasn't overly bothered when he was sold (good player though but circumstances dictated). Ndiaye shouldn't have been sold for the money he was though as he really was key for us and how we played. For the money we sold him for it was a really daft decision. I would have wanted to keep him a d told him to get his head down and work hard for one final season with us. He was still in contract for another year. If OM had come back with another £10m on top of the fee he went for then I think that might have been the time to talk, but we did under sell the lad for what he brought to the team.

Did you go to any matches? His mardy demeanour and constantly sulky attitude was plain to see.

And if u r correct that he didn't throw the towel in then he's an even shitter centre back than I thought because I thought part of the problem was him sacking it off

Anel looked a lot better playing alongside a 'stopper' in Egan. The decision to go with Holgate over Worrall in Jan was mystifying and it was no coincidence the defence conceded >100 goals including some real tonkings. Robinson, while committed is lower Champ level, Trusty wasn't close to Prem level either.

Even though he missed a large part of the season, I'm surprised more can't see the importance of Egan and are more concerned that he may be leaving
