I’d rather get him for his name rather then his footballing ability Christ the kid sounds pure pish, no club he’s been at has a good thing to say about the lad
 
Hopefully one of those rumours that turns out to be false based on previous reviews. Saying that, if Paul Coutts had left before Wilder came in we'd have all probably said similar on him.
 
Central midfielder with good passing range, have we got a Norwood replacement yet? Maybe he's back up for whoever fills that role, or if we're changing style he gives us the option to bring him off the bench and revert back.

Not saying I think this would be a star signing, but not all signings are brought in to be key players.
 

I'd say a bad idea like the rest but I also said the same about Mcgoldrick etc, we can't afford to have a squad full of the divisions best players.
 
Looked very good as a youngster. Obviously not going as planned for him.
 
Worth a risk IMO

With the likes of Davies being utterly pointless we're going to need cover in midfield, can't stock it with Arblaster, Hamer, and then further top Championship quality. Going to be a bit of a drop off in depth.

He had big potential, was really impressive when he was younger and just hasn't kicked on.

Hopefully a change of scenery and management is what he needs... it's a low risk one.
 
Seems like Wilder always needs a sympathy case. Ravel and Rodwell are the 2 stand out ones, but this lad is another prime example. Had high expectations when he came through at Ipswich - I seem to remember him scoring v Wednesday on his first appearance, or one of his first at least. But he just faded from there. Never really pushed on and developed. I've no idea if he's any good these days as I've barely kept tabs on the Championship in recent years outside of when we've been in it. But it seems a fairly bland signing just to boost numbers in the squad.

Nothing against the lad , but no thanks !! I don't know what he would bring to the squad
ATM we've got JLT and Moore as the experienced heads I wouldn't be adverse to Ritchie coming in to add to that

I do completely understand this comparison. But Dozzell has actually played quite a lot of Championship football in the last few years and as far as we know isn't as "challenged" as Ravel off the pitch. He's 25.

How is he another sympathy case? He started more games last season than both Sam McCallum and Jamie Shackleton combined but as far as I'm aware nobody has described them as a sympathy case.

If Wilder thinks he can get a tune out of him that's good enough for me, he's done it plenty of times before.
