If this loan move comes off then it would be a statement of intent from the board.

I don't think Man Utd mind him coming to us but I get impression the player just doesn't want to come here.

Seems I was sort of right, although looks like it's the kid that turned us down rather than the club.

I think he'd be wasting his time playing with our lot. Brighton, Palace, Southampton etc. all play decent football and would give him a platform to showcase his abilities.

If there no PL interest then presumably we have a decent chance. The longer the things drag on thigh the fear is someone higher will step in though.
