Its been advertised now, and they've publicly announced that he's waiting to see if better options come in.

Across Europe there will be at least 30 better options than us for him.

Chema Sanz doing #bits for us here 👀👀👀

Worth reiterating this looks highly improbably. Especially with about 38 hours of the window to go.

Have Barcelona got any other fringe/reserve players that would be worth a look at who Utd could possibly take on loan/sign b4 this Tuesday deadline. Barcelona will sure want to offload a few b4 the transfer window closes to help ease the £1.15 billion debt and if they want to sign any players

You think we're too good for BARCELONA's "nearly but not quite players"?!
Barca B innit?

we’ve been used to weed out big 6 clubs dross for years Coffee, Woodburn, Wilson, Brewster et al

There's a difference... with video analysis coming on leaps and bounds since John Cofie!

Woodburn had looked good in his brief professional outings and for Wales, but you can't tell until they play regular "real" men's football. He then struggled at that point.

Wilson had all the attributes just didn't quite cut it, but he's still a professional. Youth record was phenomenal at Man Utd.

Brewster is very young and will at the minimum be a good Championship striker for his whole career.

I know nothing about Collado, but presumably we've done analysis (if true that we're interested). Also, if Norwich or Brentford were signing him we'd be saying WHY AREN'T WE IN FOR THESE PLAYERS??

Are we the worlds dumping ground for nearly but not quite players?

The anger is building inside
If and it’s a highly unlikely if we were to get this lad it wouldn’t be a case of having him dumped on us he’s been involved with their first team as recently as this summer he’s a decent player.

He’s not a top prospect in Barcelona terms but championship clubs build successful sides out of the fringe players from top English academies all the time and this lad falls into that category the only difference is he’s Spanish.

I’ll wank myself silly if this happens
Feel like that’s been said a lot this summer about our targets the collective blue balls in the fans base must be reaching unprecedented levels 😂

Dont think we can call Brewser young anymore, half the prem clubs have 18-20 year olds starting for them who are making an impact. Brewster is very much half way through his footballing career.

But surely we did analysis on McB, Burke, Moose et al and still bought them. several top 6 clubs had been sniffing round Berger but something stopped them buying and they let us take the risk, don’t think we came out top on a bidding war.

My point / hope is this lad is different and he’s the real deal we can’t afford any more misfiring players in a dud squad

No that’s true if we’re going to be limited in the amount of business we do and that most certainly seems the case then you’re right they all need to be hits.

Buyout option seems bold given he doesn’t even fancy us on loan.

time will tell but I give this a less than 1% probability of happening

I suspect like a lot of other reported deals we’ve been involved in this summer that the club will agree to it but the player.......... we’ve seen it enough times to know how it ends like you say.

I blame Sheffield Shitty Council

Who wants to live in the 5th largest city that is 90th most desirable place to live out of 132 cities?

Aye but most footballers see nowt outside of Dore, Eccy Road and the odd trip up to Shirecliffe and the Lane for the occasional bit of football. Probably an alright city if you can keep em’ away from Fargate and Burngreave.

There's some absolute gems on the outskirts.
Some fans don't travel North of Hillsborough, but between us and Huddersfield/Barnsley there are some areas that are up there with anywhere in the country.

A 20 year old is half way through his football career? And isn't young?? Just because other clubs have younger kids starting doesn't make Brewster not young ffs he's got 15 more years ahead of him

Ahh fuck just checked had it in my head he was 23 going on 24 😅 the boy is only 21. Though he only had 6 years left until he became another Fleck or Norwood.

Do much talk about him makes him seem older.

He’s been around and in the media circus for a long time. He’s the same age as ndiaye which is a bit of a head twister
