Wes, Lowe and Amissah released.

Bogle, Osborn and RND had 1 year extensions triggered.

(apparently - surprised about RND if so)

That leaves, Jebbo, Egan and mcburnie with decisions still to be made

Don’t want an American group.

They will want to turn a profit
You do know other than fan owned and state owned clubs that's exactly what every single owner is trying to do. The Prince makes his profit by selling. These guys if they buy us make theirs by selling us as an established premier league side etc

I don’t think Man City’s owner set out to make a profit. So it’s not every owner is it.

Most of our fans will see take over news as a positive after the current ownership without realising that a lot of the American consortiums run sports clubs as ruthless businesses demanding profits and instant success.

The Glazers took a billion quid out of man united and strangled them for a decade.

There’s allsorts of rumours about Burnley’s finances flying round now they’ve spent a 100 million and got relegated anyway.

If the Prince sells then won't he have made a profit?

Yes he will. That’s not necessarily the type of profit I was referring to.

Some of these consortiums mortgage the clubs up to their eyeballs immediately and take out their money straight away then gamble the clubs future with more debt trying to achieve immediate success and then leave them in the shite a few years later when it doesn’t pan out.

Getting out the championship is not gimmie and neither is staying up once you get there.

Our current owners main fault is he ain’t rich enough. I don’t believe he would leave us totally in the shit even though he took a fair few risks last season.

I’m going to be skeptical of any investment group or consortium type take over.

I'm not getting too excited until it's a done deal... Hoping it's not delaying tactics on transfer front?!

True

I think if you had someone with a few billion they are more likely to be happy to lose a few million every season while trying to establish a prem team. Prince value was something like 250 million so he is hardly gonna stomach having to put in a few million to keep things moving up.

My main worry would be the managerial merry go round as many of these owners aren't known for their patience, especially if they back the manager with funds and they fail to get promoted. The problem then is they replace them with another manager who wants to play a different formation and tactics. When that doesn't work out after one season, because they don't have the right players yet, they get sacked and rinse and repeat. It's not all of them but there is a worrying trend.

Look at how many managers Forest have gone through. Santo is a dead man walking next season if they get off to a bad start.

Isn’t the owner of forest Greek?

Yes, but I was using him as an example of an impatient owner who wants success, and wants it yesterday.
