Is that right? BBC/Guardian/SkySports have the attendance as that....... if its correct, how the times have changed!!

See our twitter... They missed a 1 off the front

You sound like the grunter who was just on Praise or Grumble. His point was that football was going well all over South Yorkshire apart from Bramall Lane.

He "forecasts" a bad period for Sheffield United and when that happens, we would very shortly be overtaken in attendance terms by the Millers, who got 11k today, whereas we got just over 8k, according to Twitter, so it's already happened. He went a bit quiet when the presenter said it was 18k, not 8k.

Thick piggy twat. Did any of them call for Jones to be sacked now they have lost one? Matter of time if it carries on

So it seems all the media outlets are reporting out attendance yesterday as 8,790, even the official website! How can they make a mistake like that? I didn't think there was 18,790 TBH but there certainly was 8,790?

Out of interest though, when was the last time we got less than 10,000 for a home league game?

Port Vale on That Day!

Oh no, of course there were 300,000 there weren't there?

:)

Maybe it was that match then...

The BBC sport website has the correct attendance - accompanied by a photograph of Flynn celebrating with Matt Lowton and Ched  .
I didn't attend the Port Vale game....

It doesn't help when the naming of the new stand meant it got shown on FLS... near empty because it's the away end!

I'd say there looked to be more like 18k there than the 18k that was reported on the first day of the season.

Would you believe I don't actually know if I went to that match or not? I was a regular attender and season ticket holder by then but my Dad didn't take me to a couple of games that year because he thought there would be car park trouble. I think there was a demo at an Ipswich night match? If it was around the same time I might have been left at home.

Looked 18,790 to me. I'm in the Family Stand & the South Stand looked fuller than normal. Decent number on the Kop too. Thought it was a good crowd. I see Portsmouth were down to 12,000 after their opening day 17,000. There's no doubt we are going to top the attendance table by some distance

Since we've been relegated I've not bothered changing my ST to the seat next to my mate. I just sit there anyway.

Might have to sort that out if we have any more crowds like yesterday - B block in the South Stand was pretty well filled up.

I heard that pillock as well. He was full of it in the gloatometer stakes until the presenter pointed out his error, he went quiet for a few seconds then changed the subject rapidly. Prat.

Not necessarily. Swindon got over 18000 for their first home game.

Considering Swindons ground has a capacity of 15,700, I find it highly unlikely that they had 18,000

the 4-1 tonking they got at Preston will see to that
the 18000 was probably posted by an owls fan thinking he was posting the owls away following to yeovil, an educated guess, by a moron

Di Canios ego takes up a couple of thousand seats too.

You do realie that Di Canio played for wendy therefore his is massive and the gates will be automatically massive. Even if there is 5k there there really will have been 18k, because he was once MASSIVE. ;)

I miss one game and I take 10000 with me, that's my power of attraction.

You can stay away, too, if all the games are going to be like that in your absence.
