Firstly your not about to get promoted lots of games left yet...but i thought we was attendance fc
 

Smart move by club if 2025/26 season tickets go on sale early while we are in a promotion position. Last time we saw PL tourists gambling on getting PL tickets at a reasonable cost.
 
Preston ain’t going up or down this season, so that’s going to impact their attendances.

Then when you consider they’re having a cup run, it wasn’t a bad turn out from them.

You haven't been supporting us very long have you, 27,000 is phenomenal for us in the 2nd tier, I've been when we used to average less than that in the top flight
 
The league should have a set fee for away fans for every game.

United need to make it simple for a casual spectator to buy a ticket. Have an area for them in the stand.

It's £10 to watch the fans in SUTV from the comfort of your foreign second home.
 
South stand was a sell on website but i had literally 5 seats next to me and odd seats empty. A few ST holders there mind.

Of our league games so far this season we’ve had 3 games below 27k. I can see this one, at home with 10 games left and 2nd in the league, breaking 27k. Bristol will bring 1k as they’re a well supported club away from home. We only need 2k or 3k floaters and we’re there.

If we don’t I stand corrected but I don’t see us dropping to 25k again this season.

Yet our fans are the worst for a side chasing promotion in any league anywhere, atmosphere like a morgue, fans that fuckoff 10 mins before half time or leave 5 mins early and yet Leeds fans are bellowing songs all game and create an atmosphere, as per Burnley.

Truly bizarre state of affairs that more turned up to see us get walloped last year than today.

Football as with many sports is vastly overcharging the fans. But by and large people seem to be prepared to pay it as EFL and EPL attendances have gone up enormously compared with 20-30 years ago and attendances at Rugby and cricket Test matches which cost well over £100 sell out.

26,500 home fans at least 500 plus away who
boycotted due to ticket price and around 40 quid for a ticket to play Preston in the home end
jeez - playing 2 dimensional football - and we aren’t about to gain promotion as for 60 minutes yesterday proved - we weren’t in the top 2 that get promoted
 

Ticket pricing really does piss me off, and it’s a shame that now United are up there with the worst for it.

It was extremely rare to hear opposition fans criticise away prices at the lane but it’s become a regular (and justified) gripe now.

I’m sure there’s some boffin at the club who’s worked out the financial gain to be had for pricing games at the level they are but is it really more advantageous to effectively shrink the crowd with £40 tickets than it is to get more in at £20?

Anyway, whether it is financially justified or not, I still think it stinks from a moral* point of view.

*not sure that’s quite the word I’m looking for.

I know this has been done to death, but surely selling twice (or maybe more) tickets at half the price improves atmosphere and associated costs from beer/pies etc!

Mistake or deliberate greed?
Away fan and non season ticket home fan pricing is hideous this season.
 
What gets me with ticket pricing if we go up away tickets are capped at £30! Some clubs we could probably charge 50 quid in the premier league and still fill that end!

Pay on the gate prices have been high ever since premier league promotion tbh and haven't come down in championship seasons much.

Seeing as crowds are pretty much in line or slightly bigger than the first two wilder championship seasons you could say it's worked. Long term it's probably hurting as we have seen price it right for kids and families and the crowd will grow!

25,000 @ £40 = £1m income
30,000 @ £20 = £600k income

The club don’t make any more money on beer / pies etc as they are franchised so the club already have its fixed income for this.

Can’t really blame the club on this if we want to be challenging for promotion.

Lower prices if you want to be like Preston and Bristol City every season.

I was referring to the away allocations, but I get your point.
