They are waiting for the next World cup or European championships to come around so the bent FA pay for improvements for them.

Now that ground's been exposed for the death trap that it is, no-ones going to touch it with a barge pole for any tournament. The shame is, the council will still support their application in preference to the Lane even though that will mean Sheffield misses out altogether.
 
Bert was on the very back row of the Cantilever Stand.

GBS was on the Kop, ringing the school handbell which had mysteriously gone missing the day before....

....equally mysteriously, it turned up in its rightful place a couple of days later

No it doesn't. Remember some us don't consider it is in 'Sheffield'. ;)

Remember the September 1966 derby well I was stood at the front with mostly Wendy mates, Older Blades were up at the back in that raised part with flags and banners.. Remember pleasant weather and queuing up at that little bus station bottom of Snig Hill for a football special.
It was great going 2 up, we should have won
