And also notice that two of them aren't even in the football league now, (at least) one has gone and come back and one survived purely on the basis of the team coming up from the conference having a dodgy ground.Plus, notice that FIVE teams from that League are currently in the Premiership.
I remember the 3-3 draw at Port Vale, packed into the away end and a last minute equaliser. One of the papers said that united's forward line resembled the USA sprint relay squad, Deane, Agana, John Francis and I think Francis Joseph, maybe this was our fastest ever front 4.
I think at Northampton we were given the home end (the day of the Hillsborough disaster). This was also the year of the inflatables and all those inflatable blades.
4 Tops songs being sung or is that an urban myth?

Aah... 22 years ago today.
I was still the right side of 50 (just).
(Sigh)
Got very tasty in the park after with Blades in fancy dress battling with Bristol City fans it was a bizarre sight. Remember a Blade 'attacking' a police dog on the pitch as well.
Also went to the Port Vale and Reading game that season - possibly the year Reading were featured as the home side in the Manageress series? meaning me and my mates made several TV appearances on the back of it.
