Is the club soon to be at risk of losing some or a sizeable proportion of the fans gained over the last 25 years?

Is there a social media marketing policy from Sheffield United?

What is the USP that will attract new support?
Maybe a pre-season tour of the USA?

Apart from matchdays/nights, what supporter's groups are there
to get new people interested in Sheffield United? Do local
areas of Sheffield have supporter's clubs?

Concentrate on the positivity that supporting Sheffield United brings.

You have a population of 600,000 approx, yet less than 5% of the populous
attend home matches, that's not good is it, it should be more. You are the most
successful club in South Yorkshire for almost three decades, don't let that
become an entitlement, aim to build higher and even more stronger.
Good post mate, thing is there are three other clubs within 10 miles of Bramall Lane all competing for support and Manchester not that far away

Do SUFC have active teams from Under 7 to Under 15/16 male/female that
actively play in local Leagues? If you're going to harvest a future of support,
it's around these ages that you start with.

I often wonder about this but i think it's a much wider question than just our club.

With the obvious issues of promoted clubs being relegated and the finance of the 17 PL clubs growing ever more- What can teams like Sheffield United/West brom/Norwich/Watford actually expect?

Even a PL mainstay like Palace only did something interesting this season, normally they're 12th place and OK to be there.

Recently I've seen the football league being pushed to americans on social media to try and generate it's own hype so maybe there is scope to get overseas fans to support the second tier teams?

I think we've just got to accept

I'd be more worried if another team across sheffield were in the premier league and flying but thankfully, they're making an absolute hash of things all by themselves 😂

For me, home games represent a 7 hour round trip and, for evening games, a hotel bill of £100 ish. If they dish up the same style of play we witnessed over the past 3 or 4 months months I reckon I will only make half a dozen games not the usual 15 or so.

As a kid you can’t really underplay that first live experience going to watch football, the colour, the noise and the excitement you get is immeasurable. In almost all of these occasions a deep fondness for a club is developed from day one.
To his credit McCabe realised we had to reach out to potential new fans whether it was school kids (from across of the city) university students crammed into flats around the ground and also tap into the diverse ethnic community in which BDTBL sits. But in saying all this you simply can’t underestimate what a few seasons in the Premier League can do for a clubs fanbase.
For me sitting in BL corner I’m not always aware of all the empty seats in BLUT for some matches. I do understand the reasons for keeping this for casuals, but sadly for seasons in the Championship this policy doesn’t always work. For me I would look at the situation on a match to match basis and pro-actively distribute free tickets to schools, colleges etc.

There’s something in this. I’d like to see the EFL do a far better job of promoting itself as an attractive proposition in its own right. It certainly retains a competitiveness that the EPL increasingly lacks, and includes the prospect of fairy tale ascension through the league structure. As the EPL inevitably becomes more & more of a closed shop with the majority of its teams only existing to provide matches for the elite to play, the EFL maybe has a strong story to tell.

Perhaps if the club eliminated the one-ticket-per-customer policy and the points system, more fans would attend.

The attendance at Bramall Lane has been very good for the last few seasons. But how many times has the ticket office, etc has told us sold out last season, yet you can see empty seats in the TC stand and John Street stand. Does that mean people who are season ticket holders don't attend the match? And don't renew. We will see what the attendance is next season to find out. The playoff home game against Bristol City was a couple of thousand down. Is that the sign of things to come? I hope not.
Re, Bristol City, I think people took a gamble that the tie was over in the first leg, thus saving a few quid to put towards an expensive trip to London…But in saying all this, we didn’t sell out at Wembley either🤷🏻‍♂️

Whether it was playoff negativity or fans saving money it's hard to say!
Also televised and the impact on attendances is hard to quantify.
We were in the final already so that would impact some.
Going back to playoff depression! The amount of season ticket holders not going to Wembley! I think told the real story .
And that depression will have multiplied after another defeat!
Though ! if we get there I will be going.
