Only need Liverpool to win for my bet and its a good day all round :D

Quality performance.

Sounded like we played them off the park for most of the game.

Fingers crossed we can perform like that against Wolves.

Brilliant performance.

For their second goal I think the lads went a bit into all out attack mode and forgot that we need to defend too.

They improved a bit after their second goal but were still very shit.

I know Charlton are a load of poo compared to Reading but the difference from that match was amazing. Reading arn't that much better than us.

Played them off the park today. was like a training session. could have had about 9.

Howard ran the midfield.

Well done to you hardy souls who went today. One of my childhood loves used to pretend to be a Charlton fan, so on her behalf I've got a bit of a soft spot for them, but I wasn't upset about the result!

Thought about going, but Mrs HH was meant to be doing overtime in Barnsley today, but didn't make it, so I made a tactical withdrawal to the bedroom and Radio Sheffield/Channel 4 Racing for company.

It certainly sounded very positive(!), but I'm sure Wolves will be made of sterner stuff on Tuesday.

Nice to hear Howard had a great game. He's not looked to his probable best since joining (apart from his debut).

I was there, it was a truly magnificent day and an away day that i will remember for a long long time as it is not every day you see the Blades rattle the onion bag 5 times away from home.

Ten minutes in to the second half i was looking at the scoreboard and not really beliveing we was 5-1 up

I was impressed with Quinny aswell.

I think he's been one of our poorer performers recently but yesterday he proved he's a decent player.

"Charlton Athletic have called in Maurice Watkins over several incidents in the game which they though should be given further investigation. Mr Watkins has been asked to bring several private prosecutions against various Sheffield United players. Namely:-

1) For the first goal, James Beattie kicked the ball too hard. Did he have to kick it that hard? He could have given someone a right stinger
2) Gary Speed, when he scored, went headlong deliberately attempting to inflict a nasty headbutt injury on the sole of someone's boot
3) Greg Halford, when attempting to lob the goalkeeper, kicked the ball way too high. If that had hit someone on the head on the way back down it could have been very dangerous. It was also quite clearly a deliberate attempt to try and con one of the Charlton defenders into colliding with his own post
4) Matthew Kilgallons goal was just disgraceful. The thug Chris Morgan challenged for the ball with the goalkeeper, quite obviously aiming to maim him. Matthew Kilgallons foot was way too high, again, the man's an animal. And his "put 'em high" goal celebration was obviously an attempt to gouge out A Charlton players eye, had any of them been anywhere near him."
5) The scoring of 5 goals against a team who are in trouble and calling for their manager's head was quite a blatant attempt to cause civil unrest and possible rioting and looting in downtown Charlton

In short, Sheffield United are a disgrace to the modern profession of football and their players should be punished accordingly".

Unfortunately, I cannot name the source for legal reasons.;)
