And if anyone wants to come and say hello, we'll be in/outside the Golden Lion as usual.

Will be getting my tickets tomorrow morning for this game and one on saturday against Pompey !

Should be a good game and hopefully can record another win, will go for Blades 2-0 Scunthorpe.

Not going to this one but i will be going to the Pompy game, first one for me this season, tickets came today, sitting in the not so new corner for the first time.
And i have a 10 quid voucher to spend on future tickets... not bad :)

I won't be at this one but i'll be there for the Pompey game... and Foxy i'll come and say hello this time. Saw you v Preston, but couldn't put a name to a face until after :)

Speedo says he's tempted to make changes to ease the workload but I wouldn't bother personally. Same XI again for me, while they're winning and confidence is high. The only change I would be half tempted to make is Ched for Boggy but the best thing for Ched at the moment is for him to play IMO. He isnt going to find his shooting boots on the sidelines so I would stick rather than twist.

Blades 2-0 Scunthorpe - More steady improvement and another clean sheet is what I'm hoping for. Scunny are undoubtedly a bogey team for us but its about time that ended. We need to get in their face and shove it up em early doors. The longer its 0-0 the more they'll fancy it because that's how Scunny play.....good timing with Adkins leaving so we need to take advantage.

UTB

This has got 0-0 written all over it.

Scunny will put men behind the ball and we'll not have the qulity to break them down. I expect Speed to keep the same team and hance Essien, Viera and Platini will struggle to break down the lowly Scunny.

This is where we see United come crashing back down to earth after getting lucky against 2 piss poor teams. Despite Scunny being awful and managerless they'll come for a point and get one. All the talk will be back to talking about how we need to bring in a creative midfielder when we leave Evans isolated and fail to break down the brick wall of Scunthorpes 8-1-1 formation.

I'm not going to this one. I'm off to Meadowhall. I can't stand any more shit pies and I'll get one of them paties from that Cornish pastries stand. Not going back to the Lane until Blackwell's missus has been sacked from making the pies (I've written to Tricky Trev).

Before anyone jumps to the bait just leave it.....

I've already said that you are smarter than the average bear SC. But seriously, if we can't beat Scunny at home then we have big problems. Adkins (a lynch pijn in their success) has jumped what is definately a sinking ship. I'm surprised they survived last year (helped by picking up 4 points against a lacklustre SUFC) and I had them down as cetrainties for the drop before they lost their manager. I put £150 on them to be relegated last night. I'd expect my Saturday team (no better than a bunch of grannies) to go out and beat Scunthorpe in their current state.

Speed says he might change the team due to "ease the workload", but I think he should be bold and change formation. Platini, I mean Ploddy erm .... what's his name .... Monty out and Yeates in. 4-4-2 with Yeates and Ward out wide supplying Creswell and Evans. Let's go for it and rip them apart. Let's score 4 against a fragile, poor team.

Still, I expect cheap as chips mark II to go defensive and stick with the same team. We'll struggle to score, the (small) crowd will start to get frustrated, Speedo will make changes too late and we end up with a nil, nil-er (that's my prediction).

I'm just taking the light hearted view Olle :)

Like I said before, I can see how your comments can rub people up the wrong way but at the end of the day they're your opinions so I respect them. Plus you can see the obvious humour to certain parts of your posts. I think people take your comments too personally IMO....but hey ho.....

To be honest I would stick rather than twist where the team is concerned. The sign of steady improvement is there and United by all accounts played very well saturday in a 4-3-3, admittedly against a lacklustre side (as I'm sure you can tell me) but it sounded good away from home nonetheless.

Like yourself however, I would be tempted to give Yeates a go as he has impressed me so far this season. I didnt see a lot from him at the back end of last but he looks to have settled now.

Scunthorpe will make it hard for us and I think you under estimate them a little, which has proven costly to their opponents in the past. They're not blessed with biggest array of talent but they're dogged and disciplined. From that perspective you may be right that United could struggle to break them down but that will be the measure of how much we're improving.

I think Scunny will make it hard for us but United persistence will pay off in the end. A 2-0 win for the Blades is what I would predict and that would suit me just fine.

14 shots to 4 according to the BBC. Sigh. At least we're creating. Shame it's Ched up front!

Seems obvious to me, we start off well and make a few good chances but fail, (again) to take them, we then get outplayed second half
