Of course I would like to have an owner who is as passionate about the club as we are, has money and a good business sense. My concern is that replacing the current owner in haste can lead to a possibly rich owner with no passion nor any real interest in football or this club.
I am not sure we would have gone into administration if we had not been promoted, but so far the current owner has not done a bad job. However both for him and us it is time for him to move on.
We are exactly on the same page..
But the mcabe "sell them asap" strategy, well I used to frown upon it, but I see what was happening back then..
Now, the prince holds onto his assets as they develop, and some of them like berge progress and want more..
It's hard to summarise unless I go to 1000 words..
In similarity Chanser has done the same and now he's in the shit.. hanging onto big money signings to watch them walk off on frees, it's a recipe for disaster..as is selling them on the eve of a premier league campaign..
Think for my point of view is pay the good players the going rate, add to them and build a team of elite performers..
That takes actual money..
Which is where I think the strategy fails..as PA and DC dint have the required billions..
Things have moved on, past millionaires sadly .....
