what did everyone think to the german lads? I was the right end to watch them in the second half. Both seem like good ball playing center halves who only kick long out of the back as a last resort.

the lad at left back always looked willing to get down the wing and help out. the center half looked alright (better than collins, but that's not hard). he always seemed to have a worried look on his face though...

highlights of the game would be Maguire, Tonne, Jean Francois? (spelling?), Duke didn't have a lot to do but did a lot of talking and communicated well with the defense. Lowton did well too.

Agree with most of that ,Maguire and Tonne stood out for me. Doyle was unbelievably bad. I caught the ball behind the net near the turnstiles Yay :-)
Worksops big daft looking centre half played well.

doyle was by far the worst player on the pitch (including the worksop lads who i didn't think gave a bad account for themselves).

was your catch the clear catch in the second half? some might say, 'plucked' right out of the air!

Simmonson should be worried ,and I am officially the worst goalkeeper in the world.
Btw how good was that playing surface.

I will be adding some pics, maybe vids and I'll comment on the reviews elsewhere at some stage.

However I'm incredibly busy so it's unlikely to be tonight :)

I'd agree with that report. Harriott was far and away the best player in the second half, all our play went through him. He sat in front of the back three/four (it was hard to tell the formation at times- even Williamson had to check with the bench at one point!) and was always available to receive the ball and play an easy pass into feet. Miles better than Doyle (who was the worst player on the pitch, including all the Worksop lot).

The other point I'd make is that we are really going to struggle with our current strikers. Bogdanovic was dire, with Cresswell only slightly better, and unless we get in a decent forward we will find it very difficult creating and finishing chances.

Here's a few photos from the game...
