what a player, the commitment he has shown in his career, after the hurdles he has overcome with injuries... he could have easily retired at 30 or gone to America and took a nice packet, instead he has been a servant to our football club and a model pro, up there with Sharp as one of my favourite Blades players of all time tbh

My favourite Wilder signing and my favourite current player. Fantastic mix of ability and work rate/effort. I think he should score more based on his ability but he is this wonderful but rare combination of creative striker and hard working midfielder. So I let him off ;).

His spell with us will transform how he will be remembered as a player; we've been really good for each other!

Hes been an absolute joy to watch since he arrived. I think to class him as one of our best free signings belittles how good he's been, he's one of our best signings full stop, up there with Deane et al.
Love watching him play football, bloody glad it's with us.
Thanks Didsy and thanks CW👏

Best player in the squad by some way.

Very rarely looses it.

Presses better than any other.

Sublime skills and touch.

In the last 50 years we have seen precious few with his guile- Currie/ Woodward/ Sabella/ Duffy and Didsy - these are the players that others can only dream of- I'm sooo glad he came here,

Thanks Didsy you make moments of pure joy for us- please give us 1 more year at this level..

One of my favourite players for us in my tie watching. One of many Wilder players with a story, realizing their potential after a career that never truly took off.

Wanker. Missed a penalty against Wednesday that would've opened the floodgates.😉

Agree with the sentiments above, he's been brilliant for us.

Is it allowed to mention one little criticism of him? He does not get many assists. For a deep lying/roaming forward or even number 10 you'd expect him to play more through balls and set up more goals. He's got 1 assist this season, 2 last and 4 in the promotion season.

He opted to shoot, which I think we're all reluctant to criticise. But it's not too often we see a penetrating through ball in such situations.

I remember people kicking off as we went for him on trial instead of signing Waghorn for millions as per rumours at the time

I thought at the time Waghorm was the better option but I was wrong.

Didzy is so much better, love the guy. Not just committed, a player of genuine class and skill.

Love McGoldrick, proper footballer. I still think he’ll do a good job next year. When him and Sharp pack up we’ll be fucked if some of the younger lads don’t stop being shit.

If I was Wilder, I'd take the younger lads to one side, point to Sharp and Didzy and say this....

Do you wanna be remembered for the birds, money, cars? Or do you want to be remembered and loved long after you're done. Because see those two? Follow them because that's how its fucking done.

What a position Bogle is in Bergs, and not for the first time either. As you say, if he faints to shoot and lays the ball off for Bogle, who is the best of the options you give, he’s got it put on a plate for him, something you’d expect Didzy to do too.

Still, Didzy, what a player!

As I said on another thread yesterday....

I love Didzy, I'd crawl bollock naked over broken glass just to watch him caress the ball from the air and drop his shoulder in the same movement, but it's like he's got wonky legs when it's time to shoot... "just pass it into the net Dave, pass it"....

I completely forgive his scoring prowess simply because we play better as a team with him in it.
