Just how good is Wilder as a manager? The next few weeks are going to show. Start earning your crust Chris.

We look like a broken team
Respectfully disagree with this.

We're lazy, making poor decisions, not showing for the ball and a number of players are strutting about like it's not their problem.

It's obvious that we're not in a good moment but the players are supposed to be professionals and that means delivering a bare minimum.

It's Wilder's job to get some improvement out of them, and he should start by picking up a group of 11 that can actually function together, but they're not victims here.

I’ve never seen a bigger set of fannies in a United side. Campbell doesn’t give a shit, Peck thinks he’s the reincarnation of Beckenbauer, Hamer flits in and out of games and then there’s my god he’s shit Godfrey. No bite, no passion, what a load of wankers. When we’re relegated these arseholes will move on thinking they’re too good for Sheffield United. I’d rather them bring in and play the youngsters like Wednesday are doing, at least they give a shit,
If the same people that wanted "bite" and "passion" were in charge, then we would have no youngsters to bring in as they would all be on loan at Worksop as "they're not ready (and never will be)"

i doubt we will see cannon for a while onè will have to be 2nd choice. because cannon offers nothing never has 1 man been signed off 1 game

Betcha. This is Wilders signature signing. He’ll persist as he did with Brewster. Do you not know or understand the man yet? I do.

I think we all now have to accept that regardless of the manager that we are in a relegation battle and are now one of the favourites to go down.

The squad is a very poor one and lacking ability and we will only get points by being well organised and have an established formation.

We have to hope that Wilder is good enough to bring this about

Only real criticism of Wilder today was the continued selection and then game time of Cannon.

Campbell doesn’t look like he gives a monkeys and while there’s not much in the way of service he looks as if he want everything handed to him on a plate. Some news for him, the Golden Boot won’t be winging its way to him unless things change.

Our new scapegoat in waiting Godfrey is playing out of position and it shows. McGuinness? Can look like a headless chicken at times.
O’Hare needs benching for someone who isn’t knocked over by heavy rain. Fine when we’re well on top - my memory may well not be 100% on that - he may be a trier but not much good in a battle.

Hopefully Ings and Tom Davies get on well so they aren’t lonely in the treatment room.

Wilder was off down the tunnel again, this time no criticism. Hopefully he was chucking Cannons (Hen & Chicken?) gear in a skip.

That was pathetic. Worst performance of the season so far. Ipswich was awful but at least we were away and were up against a decent side that's spent money.

Today we've been picked off by a team who were organised and worked harder than us. That's all they needed to be.

Today wasn't about Selles just like the last 6 games weren't about Wilder - but what the FUCK was that team selection and set up? Do we have to score own goals on purpose and fight with each other before someone sees that midfield doesn't work in any way, shape or form? They created nothing and offered no defensive protection - but we shit scared of looking like we're going for it in case we look silly. Boohoo, have some balls and go for it.

Also we're at home, why are we playing one up front? Playing 451 at home has been enough to turn the crowd against managers in the past. It's not like we're doing it to accommodate a creative midfield who make up for the lack of attacking
It was the same formation that worked very well for him last season so not really a surprise it’s what he went with.

He’s had 5 days to assess the squad and put it together, it’s clearly going to take longer than that to turn it around with how low the confidence clearly is.

Thought we played better today, probably our best performance of the season but still falling short on our performances last season.

Charlton were decent, very solid, organised, they used good tactics, sat back easily soaking up our pressure, then waiting patiently for the counter attack.

Positives
1: More fight and character showed by all the players.
2: Peck was much better playing in his advanced position.
3:Burrows was better too
4: Conceding the last minute goal might seem a sickener but don’t think we were robbed, we did most of the attacking and looked the better team but they had the best chances and I think they just about deserved that win.
5: Impressed with Wilders honesty in the post match interview, said we were OK 1st half but 2nd half we were chaotic especially the defence in the last 10 minutes. He admitted there’s more work to do on the training ground.
6: Bottom of the league but a sold out home is impressive support in a 30,165.

Negatives
1: No creativity, again struggled to create chances but must say Charlton defended so well, pulling numbers back and so organised.
2: O”Hare plays in the important number 10 roll but he was poor.
3: Thought Barry was poor, looks too lightweight.
4: It’s becoming so difficult how you judge Cannon because he never touches the ball but doesn’t make runs runs as though he doesn’t want the ball. His body language seems poor like he’s not trying.

Summary
Defence good for 80 mins then irratic in the last 10 minutes
Midfield, very good regards workrate and pass and move but lacking creativity.
Attack, really poor as though they didn’t expect any chances to come their way.
