3 wins in a row - is it too early for Christmas presents?

Congratulations to Blackwell on setting a new world record for most full backs on the bench!

I had to look twice and do a count myself. I really do wonder what the plan was over the summer as we seem to have a surplus of mediocrity in fringe areas and are scratching around to put people onto the pitch in goal, central defence and (up to the last 7 days) central midfield.

Making Plymouth look good... Midfield in disarray... that's what you get for putting a goalkeeper in charge.

Someone tell Blackwell, that adding an extra midfielder isn't the best way to get more possession, it's the best way to confuse your players and completely lose the shape of the team.

If the stats are correct though we've had 50% of the possession in the match, not sure if more possession would help much. We may be happy with a point and not too bothered about creating chances?

That was my point, it isn't working!

We are shite, yet we are winning. Oh well there's times when we play well and lose. Like the Newcastle game. What comes around goes around. :)
5 minutes of injury time.

Let's hope we see the real James Harper now? 2 good strikes including a well struck winner by the sound of it.
Great result lads. Can we start playing some decent football though?

Funniest thing though Keith Edwards having to eat his words, though he made a hash of that too. He really doesn't like Harper does he?

No, though to be fair we've yet to see the excellent James Harper who dominated midfield alongside Sidwell. I really hope he can find that form for us.

Edwards is a bit of a one string banjo. He rarely mentions the total failure of Stefan Elpiton to exert any influence on a game whatsoever yet Harpo is constantly criticised.

I do, however, agree with his general football philosophy - pass and move not hoof.

Just home from the match. There was some fantastic football played by us today, neat passing, finding space, we were running rings around Plymouth. Sadly all this football came inside the five minutes' injury time after we'd scored. The previous 89 minutes had been dire, with not even the slightest attempt to play football. Plymouth were equally dreadful but will definitely feel they've been mugged.

Plymouth didn't seem to have many good chances.

They had more than us in the first half. It wasn't just simple mistakes that hampered us, I think Plymouth actually put in a pretty good display, early on anyway. Didn't look like a team struggling down in 23rd in my opinion.

Overall though it wasn't an impressive match from anyone's perspective. We won though, can't complain too much!
