Ah right, so how many goals has not just today, but every game he's been involved in equated to?
You’re quite right....I am deluded. Let’s not play him ever again and simply write off the £23M....a flawed approach if you consider Didsy’s turnaround (couldn’t hit a barn door last season) and already scored 6 in a team with no midfield and no confidence.

Woah, I never said you were deluded mate, I'll give you that, however didsy contributed to a lot (I thought he was absolutely vital to us finishing where we finished last season) more than Brewster has and most likely will this season. Most of our attacking play went through, or had some involvement with didsy.. Brewster hasn't shown the tenacity that didsy has in the games he's played. He's not shown any interest in dragging us up the pitch, and he's not really looked to get involved. (bar today) I know the kids got talent, however the 23m we paid for him, was massively massively over what we should've paid for him. That's not his fault, he got more involved today, looked okay, but still not a 23m talent. Worrying when he looked okay/not bad/not great against league one opposition.

Not sure about that, when we signed him he was a Championship player, when we signed Brewster he was also a Championship player at best.
Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford have players worth 5 x what we'd get for our best player, and they've sold their best players for huge sums

We have only one player in the entire squad that would fetch £15 million and that is Berge, and even then that'll be a £7-£8 million loss.

The rest, £7 - £8 million for Egan, a Prem club might take a punt on him as a squad player.
Assuming JOC isn't fit and nobody wants him, he'll stay for a while.
The rest, not a single Premier League club will be interested in any of them, they can move for maybe £2 - £3 million maximum to a Championship club that will pay them better wages.
Who have Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford got that's worth £75m!??

Poor from Lundstram and Basham, but my god we might as well play rush keeper. How bad must our back up keepers be? He fumbles basic catches, shots go through him. We have no confidence watching him, it must be awful playing in front of him.
To be fair, it must be awful for any goalie to have to play behind a defence capable of the sort of "defending" that led to Argyle's goal.

Why? Thought he played well apart from his part in their goal.
First movement 8/10 backwards, only time he seems able to pass first time his either sideways or backwards, when he tackles either half hearted or bull in a china shop, appears lacking in concentration. To turn the question on it's head what has he actually achieved since he wanted out?

I just think we need context...his football education at Pool meant across all age groups he didn’t have to do the dirty work given the quality around him which is of course obligatory if you play for CWAK...He looked lost when he first came as no supply. I think we can all agree over the last few games he’s starting to have an impact ie he is learning to adapt. He had a slow start at Swansea but ended up averaging Something like a goal a game in the last 9 games overall 11 in 22. He’s 20 and I know people can’t get past the price tag but not all of the top coaches can be wrong.

We were too slow and too static but still in total control until making a mistake and conceding. If we were mid table there would have been zero panic but the confidence is so fragile as soon as a setback occurs panic kicks in.
I said earlier in the week that Ramsdale shouldn't be dropped for the game as this would totally kill his confidence - i still stick with that although not sure it is the right thing now. Again midtable and I'm pretty sure he'd have saved it but it's now getting ridiculous. He is a young kid irrespective of how much he was bought for, as an employer the club have a duty of care now to ensure he doesn't completely fall apart and suffer any mental issues. How many of us at 22 were under such pressure and receiving so much stick? He will know how bad his performances have been.
Depending on how strong his mentality is should dictate the course to take for his best and the clubs. Personally, now, I'd take him out, get a decent goalkeeping coach and pray that Fodders or Verrips can miraculously come up with the goods.
How many 22 year olds get paid what he's getting, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

11 goals in 22 games
Yer Swinton I take your point! I was thinking ‘premier League’ but yes he did well in the championship with the Swans last season👍 Some players from the Championship do adapt well to the Premiere League? but I think that CW said he needed a proven premier striker but he took a punt on young Brewster from a league below? that is why we can’t score goals and are probably going down. Watching Brewster’s progress it seems like he is improving, getting more involved, making runs, learning to run the line, getting stronger so may be he will score a few goals for us before the end of this season? He has raw talent, young and finding his feet and these things take time. He should score goals in the championship next season and will probably become a good asset to our club! but the bottom line was that we needed a goal scorer this season not next!

agree with you we took the wrong option but certainly with one eye on the championship if we were to get relegated which we are personally i would have gone all out for josh king a proven premier league goalscorer but of course we wernt prepared to pay him 50k a week but would have been well worth it if he had scored the goals to keep us up as for rian brewster im confident he will get us 20 plus goals next season like you say he wasnt right for us at this time at this level but just watch him go at a lower level no more playing against international centre backs every week think same applies to mcburnie as well and although i dont rate him at premier league level hes well capable of 15-20 goals in the championship
