I didn't expect Kompany to whine through an interview, showing no respect to the better side.
Maybe he will learn like all managers entering the Championship.
Does he really think he will use the result to turn it around at their ground, all our players will be reminded of his words.

doesnt surprise me as he is going to be unhappy he is a winner at man city. he wont have lost that attitude & it will have hurt him that 2nd half

We should have a much stronger squad when we play at Turf Moor.
(Imagine us when Berge, Bogle, Norrington-Davis, Lowe, Doyle, Brewster, McAtee, even Clarke are back)
Also I would expect the very talented Khadra to have played some matches and found some form by then.
Also their players aren't going to grow a few inches in height, they were totally bullied at set pieces.

He is gonna get a shock if he thinks a derby is 6 a side.

laughThat famous Turf Moor atmosphere🤣
If Our injuries are back we might beat them 5-0 instead

Craig Bellamy was a mardy little twat and Manuel looked like he was going to cry with frustration when he came off.

Of course, the South Stand regulars offered their heartfelt sympathies.

Mmm... Salty tears...
Yes, I could see how upset Benson was when he got subbed and was questioning it with one of the coaches (didnt realise it was Bellamy!)

My lip-reading isn't quite to standard but he seemed to be complaining about the lack of support and vision from his teammates.

I hope they all had a lovely argument about it on the way home.

He doesn’t understand the meaning of humility

A good manager knows when to be humble after a sound beating

Fuck Kompany we might take our best team to Turf Moor that was only half the best we can put out. Berge, Bogle, Doyle, Lowe, Brewster to name a few not available today.
The Gauntlet has been thrown down. 😀 Hecky needs play this back to the players when the time comes, and do a John Sillott Orient speach about about they can bring who they f'kin like, and bring yer f'kin dinner.

Very strange that Kompany was moaning after the game about fatigue and all the games they had played. In his pre-match presser he was asked directly if he thought it might be an issue and he was very forthright that he didn't accept that as an excuse because that was the nature of the Championship. He now uses it as exactly that, an excuse. Pathetic.

Either way, we don't want or need the approval or praise from him. His team well and truly had their arses kicked by a team with a much stronger mentality. In the end Kompany could, and should, be thankful that it was only 5 on the day. His biggest problem now is that we've showed the rest of the Championship the approach required to beat his team with ease and there are few teams in the division who are stronger at set plays than us.

On to the next one.

utb

Loved the irony of him banging on about humility. Must have said it 4 times, he should have used the word SALTY!

Not humble enough to give any credit to a team that has just battered you and won by being the better football team.

As said above, "couldn't have asked any more of my players", I think you could Vincent. You could start by asking your keeper not to flap like a circus seal every time the ball came near him. 🤣

Got to say, I loved watching that interview.

He speaks quite well but some of what he said was quite odd.

It was spoken as if Burnley have been on this massive run of games without a break without much recognition to the fact that so had the opposition. We're the ones with 10 players out. They were missing maybe 3 or 4.

The angle he uses was almost as if he was asking a lot of them. What? To fulfill your fixtures? It's as if they had been doing him.a favour turning up.

I get they've had a good run and he didn't want to make a big deal of it, but he's in denial if he doesn't think anyone playing Burnley will be practicing long throws and set pieces. Yes they missed Rodriguez but you can't tell me he's the solution to all their set piece issues.

We were missing minimum two starters in defence out of Bogle Norrington-Davies and Lowe, of not three. Doyle and Berge would be in the midfield. Plus half the team were coming back from injury.

I'd imagine the team they gave at Turf Moor will bully them even more. Imagine Berge up against Maatsen.

Kompany:
“We are humble and we’ll stay humble“.

Also Kompany:
”They’ll come to Turf Moor”.

You got absolutely smashed second half lightbulb head

I think company would get the top job at any team,to be fair.. But they really really really fucked up to be fair. Couldn't have fucked up any more if they had tried.

His after match interview seemed to scream of PR bullshit. They've had the same number of games & frequency as everyone else and tbh they're not a team which screams "humble" by the way they sulkily gave up in the 2nd half when backs completely against the wall. He had no plan B other than bring on ineffective subs and didn't once try to counter our set pieces by bringing on a taller defender or positioning players on the line at corners.

They'll still be go up mind but we'll be up before them. Fingers crossed 🤞
