Hello guys,

As I previously introduced myself tonight, am a SUFC fan from Saudi Arabia and I thought to bring up some insights on how is the club operating in Saudi.

Prince Abdullah is working to establish fanbase to the club by partnering with some local cafes to sell official merchandise.

- There are 3 branches that sell (East region, West, and middle region):

Shall we start a GoFundMe for this years kit?

Interesting stuff.

When asked why The Prince bought the club....he said he liked our history and the city of Sheffield when he visited.
I know it might sound daft but I wonder if part of his attraction to Sheffield United was our badge.

The Saudi Arabian flag carries a sword
The Sheffield United badge carries a sword.

Questions for Saudi Blade.

What is our profile like in Saudi Arabia. Will the average Saudi have heard of Sheff Utd?
Do we have any fans out there? I would say probably yes...if we are opening shops.
Does our badge with the sword carry an added attraction for Saudis or is the badge irrelevant?

I know coffee shops are the closest they can get to pubs but I just can't imagine the same scenes when Egan scores a 92nd minute winner.

Some fucker's hot coffee over my equipment? No thanks!

A) The club has a decent reputation, everyone who is involved in football have heard of it at least once.
-Saudi football fans are active on Twitter; SUFC Arabic account has 70,000 followers.

B) As far as the badge goes, I honestly don't know but in my opinion I find the swords very appealing.

Thought we could get the coffee beans at the club shop...........wait no that’s the magic beans we sold Dean and Fjortoft for

So how does our profile in Saudi Arabia compare to the other Premier League clubs, will there be more Saudi's inclined to follow the Blades rather than the big clubs due to the Princes involvement?

Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are the most popular with a growing number of City fans.

The Prince's influence is limited, only the club's performance would affect the fan-base, the current SUFC fanbase is small, only way I see it growing is if the team reach top 4.

I wonder how Ahwin Sahwin is doing with the Ceylon Blades Twitter account? Last I heard, it had got 17 followers..

Any of the other big money in Saudi likely to come in and make us top 4?
