From the Star.........

WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers could launch an audacious bid to sign Billy Sharp during the January transfer window, less than six months after the Sheffield United striker completed a £1.6m move back to Bramall Lane.

Officials at Molineux are understood to be considering tabling a formal bid for the 21-year-old when the Football League re-opens for business early next year as they look to cement their position as Premiership contenders.

He had a good relationship and partnership with Keogh from what I understand. So it may not be a bad move for him.

I agree - his time will come.

I also agree, i think he can do or a job, but then i think 'maybe thats a biased opinion cause he's a blade and I want him to do well?'

In all as long as we recoup what we paid then id be disappointed, he's gone but i think id survive

Sheffield United misfit Billy Sharp has been told by boss Bryan Robson that he has a future at the club. (The Sun)

according to the ever reliable sun:)

They can have Horsefield for nowt.

I don't want to see Sharp go any time soon.

Although knowing us if the price is right we will probably sell him.

we havn't been like this for a while now.

I beg to differ Rossatron,

Everyone has his price, Legsofwood, CKR, Davis are all examples of this.

He only got rid of legsofwood because he thought he would get another midfielder in.

Not sure about CKR.

Davis was injury prone and did right by getting rid....

True - everyone has a price but don't think those are very good examples.

Legsofwood was considered to be a price too good to refuse.
Davis wouldn't have gone if they had only offered say £2 million.
And CKR wouldn't have gone if they had offered 500k.

If a price is deemed too good to turn down for a player who isn't getting any real game time he will go. I believe if Wolves are prepared to offer £2 million he will go.

i know......what im saying is we arn't the sort of team who will sell players if a smaller offer comes in because in the past we have been known to get rid for a fraction of the players true price.

Nor was I :D

Was just saying, if a decent off came in for him, I don't see him staying

As he's a Blade, we all want him to score shedloads for United. If he's happy coming on as a sub now and then we have to hope that he can convert the few chances that come his way, and perhaps he may become the scoring machine we want him to be. It's true what Robbie says about everyone having their price. I'm sure if some moneybags club offered us thirty million for any of our players we'd take it, but two million for Billy will probably not be enough.

Can't imagine us giving Wolves a boost with the hardest part of the season in front of us.

Actually good point.

We shouldnt really be selling anyone to our promotion rivals.

Maybe a loan move down a division is a more like option to give him more 1st team footy.

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp is a £2m target for Wolves. (The Sun)

Linkes again today! I'd take it, or preferably a deal which sees olifinjana come to us:)

Yeah a swap for Olifinjana would be a good move.
