Well we’ve been a bit crap today but not 3-0 crap, did ok till they took Didzy off, the U23s have done ok, Burke silly decision? If anything it should have been Ndiaye and Brewster earlier on.
Agree, stinks of last season just not quite good enough which makes me think we have to improve a lot if we’re to go up and stay up.

To be fair we've looked very rusty, not surprisingly really

We’ve looked pretty much the same as every game last season.

Start okay, concede a stupid goal, look poor up front and then inevitably lose any kind of foot hold we have in the game.

Not having a game for so long doesnt help but on this performance cant seen us getting through regardless.

Good opening 30 pretty basic for the 60 beyond that. Was always going to be tough today considering absences.

Not too bad considering, although Wolves were absolute garbage save for a few very quick moves. Given we were missing 11 we did ok. Defence was terrible though and if they actually felt like attacking and not having their CBs so deep then they could maybe have wracked up a much bigger score. You can see why they struggle. Basically a counter-attacking side.

Still, finally a game and a decent runout.

We were ok until we gotdone on the break for the 2nf,then we looked a bit tired..lack of games can't help..Wes has got to punch that away and get it away from danger.
Nothing wrong with Billy's goal for me,but 3-0 is a bit harsh on us.

When I saw the inexperienced defensive starting lineup, against a very pacy top 10 premier league side I was expecting at least a 3 nil loss but overall I'm not despondent, apart from the mistakes I dont think we were embarrassed, you have to expect that their superior talent would show at some point. All the moaners have to remember that this side isn't our preferred starting lineup it's also only our 2nd game in a month against a top 10 premier league team

What is the point of the f a cup these days ,we still play the reserves even though we haven't played for a month, feckin pointless.

Top 10 prem league side
😞

Oh how it all used to be - even if so fleetingly

What a royal missed opportunity

A missed opportunity today? Or a missed opportunity 18 months ago?

Shop window for the Jan sales. Hecky must be pragmatic. We can’t win it and have a raft of games to catch up. Thought we looked very good for 70 minutes. Hopefully the last we’ll see of Berge, Burke and Robinson

Tiny bit of focus in key moments and it could have been so different.

1. Didzy. All the goal to aim at 1-0. What do you practice, man?
2. Robinson just passes the ball out of play. No goal.
3. Referee gives Billy's as a goal. Once you start stooping to head surely that's on you if you take a foot. 2-0.
3. Decent counter attack their second. No absolute howler there to be fair. 2-1
4. Wes just punches the ball out of play. No goal. Final score 2-1. Blades progress.

None of the above scenarios are outlandish or outside of our basic capabilities. Didzy should score. Jack and Wes should make better, low risk choices. The ref had every right to give that goal.

But, let's not dwell. If those errors sharpen us up to take more care vs Derby then I'll take that all day long and with 4 matches to catch up and a league run to continue to build this is one year I'm happy to duck out of the cup early.

Gave away 2 goals to bad mistakes, should have had a goal ( would have been in championship )then another very good sharp chance, created by burke which will be ignored , then tired . A very good workout and hopefully no injuries, no reason for anyone to moan

Burke silly decision ? Great run down the wing, great cross for Billy, great shot great save. Did more in 15 mins than some of the others did in 90.

Could have easily been a different, certainly a prettier, result. Think most of our players were ok and we competed well. Shame that two individual mistakes gave them two goals. A few players should benefit from getting playing time, and be a bit more ready to contribute when we continue playing league games.

By the way I'd welcome an immediate allowance to use five subs in the league as well.

Personal I thought Burke did well when he came on agree with Robinson not a clue how to defend and his head dropped. Overall I was pleased after 20 day's without a game blow the cobwebs away UTB FTP

Some things were new - safe standing (for them), 5 subs. Some weren't - defensive errors and missed chances.

Overall, we had a go and this team look more championship worthy than under Slav. Coming away with player envy, Wolves have real class.

Didn't expect to win so no loss really! 🙂

Now out of FA Cup after this afternoon's result surely will help ease fixture congestion as not having to now re-arrange home game with Brummies as they were also knocked out yesterday. With Hull, QPR and Boro still to be sorted when Utd play them. Unless Utd end up with more games PP due to COVID

It’s not that we played crap that’s an insult. We played a game in the fa cup to give the players a run out ready for the next league game,
and it was a shop window for the ones we want to flog at bargain basement prices.

Nothing wrong with that game at all. FA cup out - as we cant afford a run and match practice for the rest.
Fodders mistake in a meaningless match out of the way, tick, etc

Any other team would have played the Covid card with our line up.
