It's the actions that have caused the backward movement. Seriously, what point were you making when you said "you'll notice where we were when he arrived"?

It's the points and the league position that matters. We were 6 places higher in a dog end of a division, that's where we were. I can't seem to fathom any possible point you can have with that statement. And I'm taking your numerous showings of stupidity in the past in to account on that too.

Out of all the hundreds if not thousands of posts that have been made on this site over the past few weeks this is is the most realistic. If you don't want to suffer sleepless nights may I suggest you don't read Hamburg's post just before turning off the light. Nightmare? It's Hitchcock at his best.

You said he was 'ruining your club' and I was simply highlighting the most mind numbingly stupid comment to be made on this forum since the last time you said something mind numbingly stupid.

It's such a barrel scrapingly stupid statement I can't believe that someone like you, who believes himself to be more intelligent than the various people of this forum who ridicule him, could make such a statement without some part of his brain realising just quite how pathetically stupid it was.

So you argued against my point by saying "you'll notice where we were when he arrived" that being 6th places higher than we are now. That's about the worst point you could have made. It doesn't disprove mine, it supports it and actually makes you look a fair bit silly in the process. Hey, I'm all for it if that's how you want to carry on.

What it doesn't show, is an example of someone ruining a football club.

That was melodramatic claptrap.

I don't think it's even possible for a manager who signs one player on a permanent basis over the course of a season to ruin a football club.

He can underachieve, but even the most blinkered and one eyed of people couldn't accuse a manager of ruining a football team on that basis whilst ignoring the various other factors staring them slap bang in the face.

It's two players by the way. I've taken other factors in to account, you're the one who hasn't. He could have been given more money for more signings, it transpires he was allowed to bring in 5. So why do you ignore the fact that Adkins has had the responsibility over bringing 5 players in, and 4 aren't good enough? That is the absolute bottom line.

You think bringing 5 players in constitutes ruining a football club, I think that's beyond stupid.

It is, because when that exact pattern gets repeated on a larger scale, the club will be ruined for a number of years. The aforementioned pattern is the very thing that has been and is being exercised throughout Adkins' tenure. You're either overlooking or just choosing to ignore the reasons for and what is constituting that pattern.

Barney ok we have under performed this season that's obviouse ,Adkins is not the first manager not to cut it straight away at a new club.
I would think he would agree with that.we have to give him time to build a team ,as you say we have a crap squad so to blame Adkins for not ac heaving prom option is rediculous.give him chance to get rid of the players you say are crap ,we might get somewhere after that..To say he's ruining the club is way over the top.

It seems you haven't noticed, but the backward movement has been going on for a decade. Sacking managers doesn't seem to be working for us.

Prehaps if you took heed of some of your that expert advice, then you wouldn't come across as such a complete fucking tool.

I bet you are loving our current plight as it gives you the ability to say I told you so in regards to your stupid, petty and childish campaign against Adkins. As for selling your season ticket, you couldn't even remember which match you sold it after, and how much you sold it for. As far as I'm concerned you are nothing more that an idiot, and I think the club is a better place without idiots like you attending matches,

I'm betting if you came out with the same shit that you trot out on here, time and time again, in real life, with real grown up adults, you would be openly laughed at,

Very, very true, a decade since we started our decline and despite the best intentions of the owners, we haven't stopped the rot.

Barney is right, Adkins so far has proved to be completely unable to stop the decline and on present position and form, we will indeed end up in a worse position than when he joined. No denying that. So yes, in effect he is 'ruining the club'

However, we have all seen that sacking managers hasn't worked. We've seen that the constant turn over has no doubt had a bigger effect on the club than Adkins could do in one season.

We have a squad littered with under achievers, mostly with enough talent to worry teams in this division, but there is a stale atmosphere of medicrity which is bigger than Adkins. Adkins has absolutely contributed to this, so have the board and its absolutely clear that certain comments from Adkins at the start of his tenure, such as "giving everyone a clean slate" has really played a big part this season. Adkins should never have been put in that position though, the club shouldve paid up those players needing to be binned and done it before Adkins came in. Then he could give the rest a clean slate.

So the task now is not just getting the players performing on a matchday, but getting the squad trimmed and rebuilding. I'm not sure that Adkins has proved that he has this capability, but i'm also not sure we've given him the chance to show the real Adkins.

Sacking him will deviate from a plan... after 10 years we have a plan.... fook knows what it is though... apparently promotion is part of it somewhere.

Barney has held his belief from about the second week of Adkins tenure. That is indefensible (by most)

We've fallen 2 divisions from the premiership, run up huge debts, lost all direction off the field and sold off lots of infrastructure. None of that is to do with Adkins. Anyone who describes falling a further 6 places in the league (and has been doing so from 1,2,3,4,5 places) as "ruining the club" is beyond stupid, and you relentlessly backing him does you no favours.

At the end of this season we will have jettisoned a squad (almost) full of shite, only a small amount of Adkins' making. But to that end, we will have moved forward somewhat.
