Sign David Edgar permanently - yes or no?

It's a no from me but based on the fact that he's been here all season and is now part of the problem not the solution moving forward.

I would be letting him go back along with all the other loanees. Releasing all players out of contract and cleaning the decks ready for a fresh new crew.

It depends who we sign and let go , he can do it as shown when he first came and his international career. He has a mute behind him and Collins next to him, a weak midfield in front of him and he has a manager who wants him to make 20 passes before it goes forward. Change that and let him defend and we could have a player .

Lovely country, I was there last week, missed the Rochdale game as I was with Blades who live out there.

Probably have a more informed view than most on this having lived here now for 25+ years....Canada's men's team are garbage (but more "united" than our lot at the moment...) and ranked around 110 in the FIFA rankings while the women's team is very strong, ranked around 10, a joy to watch and could probably give our bunch of wankers a good game at the moment! And if anybody wants to watch decent football and some tasty birds, the USA women's team will turn you on (the Canadian team not as most look like short and stocky female lumber jackers ) - particularly one Alex Morgan who is, cream ur jeans, HOT !!!

Certainly light relief from listening to Unite on BP.....

That should make him more determined to win another,but for 6ft3inch he is not physical enough,also slow and one paced no good in a team that wants to play a high line

Thought Edgar was very good against Burton (once he was moved back into his rightful position), as he was against Port Vale. But far too many weak performances & far too many goals given away where he could have done much better. For such a big man, he's just not commanding or dominant enough. A nice footballing centre-half, but is that what we really need right now?

Part of the problem though is that he gets exposed, with nippy forwards running directly at his 6'4" frame, far too often. We see visiting sides tight, compact & protective of their back four (while still able to play much better brands of football than us) who just don't allow one-on-ones with their lumbering centre-backs to occur.

he's never gash unlike some of the others.. he's usually a solidish 6/10 every week. but is that good enough. i don't think so.. seems like a nice guy.. not what you need in a CB
