I ask this because I've seen quite a few suggesting we should, and I can't for the life of me understand why.

He's a decent enough defender, but its a no from me. He doesn't show enough leadership ability...

That said, i'd take him unless something else better comes along

Average centre half. Would be okay, but can get similar players without the inconvenience of being called up for international duty like Edgar does.

No.

Just not good enough on recent performances and not commanding enough considering he's captained his country.

Soft as shit, no aggression, no idea when or how to close down, not quick, not good enough in the air, not good on the ball, just a completely nondescript defender. Also misses games due to international duty and is pushing 30.

That's why I voted no.

Their goal last night was a complete joke. Edgar let him into the box AND did nothing to stop him going onto his right foot. It should have been very easy to stop a clear shooting opportunity. Close down early. Force him left. Really not difficult.

This vote may be the 1st I have seen at 100% for the No campaign.

To be brutally honest, there is, and we have seen quite a few this season who are MUCH better and will cost a lot less that Edgar.

I doubt I would want Edgar even at "average" salary - whatever that would be next season.

Sorry, send him back to Rowett at Birmingham.

We need lads in the back four who opposition strikers are scared of, lads who will wait for you in the tunnel at half time to sort you out when you have made them look bad, not lads with no bottle and who make a mistake and then shout at George Long.

For all his faults last night, Baptiste showed more guts than I have seen a long time in an SUFC shirt. Anyone sitting near me would have seen the same, aggressive.

I find that quite extraordinary that he has captained his country.

Something is not right - Canada must be bloody useless.

Not for me. He ll probably want to maintain his championship wages, even though he is only just holding his own at this level. I expect him to join the MLS next season.

Lovely country, I was there last week, missed the Rochdale game as I was with Blades who live out there.

Yes but only as back up. Definitely better ones out there that are more than obtainable

Is he out of contract in the summer? If so wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in MLS next season if we don't offer him anything

No.

Not pulled up any trees and will be on decent wages.

Expect him not to be back next year.

Powder puff. I want someone who I stills fear in opposition strikers, not fear in me

I thought he looked a class above when he 1st came here, read the game well, looked solid but he's looked terrible the last few times I've seen him, distribution particularly.

50/50, wouldn't be against it, may help with a different player alongside him but I wouldn't make him a No.1 target either.

I've voted no. But I do think he is probably good enough, but I would like to start fresh as best we can, so get rid of as many as we can - Obviously I want Sharp, Long and the other kids that need a chance in a successful team, but other than that I'd like as much cleared out as possible.

Maybe we could play him as holding midfielder and put Basham at Centre Back?... Oh hang on, we tried that

He has actually played at CM quite a bit before joining us. And that yesterday did make sense, since Basham is probably our best CB. There is also the fact Basham is a headless chicken further up the pitch.

I voted yes as a bit of a piss take, because at the time yes had zero votes. Now yes has 7 votes, i feel a bit silly.

I can only assume those who have voted yes have forgotten what a decent player looks like. What a promotion winning first team player looks like. Edgar falls well below that standard.

How about having a vote on whether we should take Ched back? assuming he will be cleared.

I thought the "in" thing on this forum was to be dead against any return of any former employee of any kind?
